British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC): It has been biased since its birth…!

The country’s oldest broadcasters and its conflicts

The BBC has been dogged by issues in a variety of areas no matter if it is a global concern or meddling in the domestic politics of a nation. Thus, in several articles and stories from the BBC on the subjects of politics, religion, morality, and social and cultural values, controversy has always been present in different nations. It also has several personnel and financial conflicts. Many high-level authorities and BBC employees may be seen criticising the organisation’s reckless stance.

Longtime BBC news presenter Peter states in this instance that, “at the core of the BBC, in its DNA, is a way of thinking which is strongly left-wing.” Andrew Marr, a different BBC presenter, claimed that “the BBC is not fair or neutral.”

When seen from the perspective of India, “BBC Hindi” a 1940s-founded media station similarly appears to be a follower of its primary institution in this regard. By misreporting the situation, the BBC has attempted to criticize India and Indianness, as well as social, political, and familial values.

It also reveals their corrupt mindset when they refer to nationalist Indians as radicals who proudly accept their culture. Numerous other instances of this have also occasionally come to light, such as the resignation of Indian journalist Mark Tully, who spent thirty years working for the BBC, and the instances of the argument with him in India on this.

In addition, the accused was referred to as a “gunman” rather than a “terrorist” during the 2008 Mumbai assault. By employing such phrases, BBC journalism has plainly degraded to the point where it is now actively encouraging criminality. But in our own nation, there is a group that acts like termites and defends BBC in every BBC disagreement. And since both want to harm India and Indianness, it is not a huge thing for them to help in this way.

This attitude of the BBC toward India reflects the same colonial mindset that is continuously working to subordinate India mentally. The government should outlaw BBC in India; it is up to them as well as the rest of civilized society to prevent anti-Indian discourse.

WHAT IS AIDS ?

Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is caused by Human Immunodeficiency Virus also known as HIV.This disease weakens the immune system undermining the body’s ability to fight against other diseases and infections. Some majorly caught diseases include TB, Pneumonia, Cancer, etc. Leading to death. Mild flu, recurrent fever, headaches, fatigue, continuous weakness, swollen lymph nodes, rashes, weight loss, diarrhea are few of the symptoms regularly occurring with this syndrome. Memory loss and blindness are few of the late complications of AIDS. There is no definite treatment of HIV and we use antiretroviral drugs currently. So it is neccessary to spread awareness regarding the same. There are so many myths and misconceptions about how AIDS get transmitted. So let us clear what transmits HIV and what NOT.

SPREAD & PREVENTION OF HIV

What Transmits HIV and should be stopped is Having unprotected sexual intercourse with HIV positive person; Sharing Razor/ blade/ syringes of HIV infected person; Drug addicts use the same syringe with their mates; HIV can transmit from mother to her fetus thus should conceive only after consulting the doctor; HIV also transmits from an infected mother, breastfeeding her infant; Most importantly, HIV transmits from blood to blood contact , thus cease it. And one has to be careful during blood transfusions which is one of the major causes of spead of HIV. Therefore one should go to a trained and skilled hospital staff/ doctor for injections, and careful blood transfusion. Apart from stopping these causes of spread , we can take a few more measures such as spreading awareness, using sterile or sealed needles and syringes, not using used instruments with blood contact, and always using condoms and hence avoiding unprotected sexual intercourse. Because PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE.

CLEARING THE MYTHS

What does NOT transmit HIV is using public toilets, touching, hugging, shaking hands, sharing food stuff, cough, sneeze, mosquito bite, kissing, even sharing a living place. CONCLUSION Thus we need to treat the patients with respect and remember that they too have dignity and right to live. We should motivate them, sympathize and take care of their needs. Remember not to discriminate with them. Give them Will to Live, because “Where there’s a will, there’s a Way. “

The prisoners declined the hunger protest after finding no response from the officials

Around 8–10, convicts were awaiting fair trial in four separate blocks of the high-security jail in the Ajmer area. After that, they went on a hunger strike on November 23. Thus, the energy supply to the highest jail, which keeps 65 “extremely dangerous” criminals, was switched off by the senior officials.

The prisoners were locked in a small space with no light or air. Thus, a protest broke out in the jail after 16 hours.

The prisoners sent their complaints to the higher officials of the high-security jail. Many prisoners made phone calls and sent messages to their lawyers as well. Additionally, the situation was conveyed to the jail’s general administrator. However, there was no response to their pleas. Thus, the jail administration had already made up its mind about no electricity in the winter. Therefore, the convicts’ hunger strike ended after the fifth day due to no response.

The high-security jail in Ajmer can accommodate 264 prisoners and more. The high-security jail in Ajmer was constructed in 2015. Thus, prisoners from several Rajasthani areas, including those who have been convicted and those who are awaiting trial, are inmates here.

In November 2019, higher officials of the prison decided to cut off the prison’s electricity supply.
