Swiggy offers full time managerial jobs to its delivery executives

Swiggy will launch its first industry-first-accelerator programme for its delivery executives to transition into full-time, managerial-level jobs with a fixed salary and additional benefits.

“Step-Ahead” is the name of the programme which aims at giving opportunity to those executives who want to move from their current flexible engagement with Swiggy to a dedicated, managerial role, the company said.

“Swiggy is enabling an income opportunity for over 2.7 lakh women and men across the country,” said Mihir Rajesh Shah, VP, Operations, Swiggy,.

With aStep Ahead’, Swiggy is creating a unique opportunity for those interested to flip their collar from blue to white and take on a managerial role,” he added.

A Swiggy delivery executive must hold a college degree, possess communication skills and basic computer knowledge and should have been delivering with Swiggy for a few years to be eligible for the role of a Fleet Manager.

Aiming to highlight the amazing diversity and talent of dancers all over the globe, this Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute (ITI) had established April 29 as International Dance Day in 1982 

The story of selection of April 29th as the official date is also interesting as it was the birthday of Jean-Georges Noverre, innovator, and scholar of this art, teacher, and creator of modern ballet.

English Language day is celebrated on April 23 annually to commemorate the birth, as well as, date of death of well known writer William Shakespeare.

As the result of a 2010 initiative taken by the Department of Global Communications, April 23 has been celebrated as the English Language Day.

The UN’s language days aims at celebrating multilingualism and cultural diversity and to promote equal use of all six official languages including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish, throughout the Organization.

Centuries back, it was only 3 tribes which conversed in English however now the language speaking population has grown by leaps and bounds.

Although there is no public holiday announced on the day, it is celebrated internationally as the UN Observance Day to promote harmonious communication. Interestingly, World Book and Copyright Day is observed on this day too.
