The meringue-shaped legendary Raj Mandir cinema hall of Jaipur has been famous in India for ages. It is also addressed as the pride of Asia  and it is there since the inception of cinema in India.

Owned by renowned Bhuramal Rajmal Surana, Raj Mandir Cinema is known for it’s excellent interiors. Bhuramal Rajmal Khurana’s father dreamed of a cinema hall that would do justice to the rich culture of Rajasthan and the audience should feel like they are royal guests at a palace and are there to enjoy wholesome entertainment. His vision was that cinema should not just look like a hall for movies but should be remembered for it’s elegance and design. And this vision of him provided a theater for India which is iconic indeed.

It is also the most popular tourist spot in Jaipur as it is considered a heritage theater. The visitors are mesmerized by the rich interior. In the modern times of multiplexes, it is a single screen movie theater famous amongst tourists and locals.

Raja Ram Mandir Cinema is a worth giving a visit to because of it’s elegant and decent architecture. It was designed by famous architect Shri W.M. Namjoshi and took 10 whole years to complete construction. It could be the only cinema hall which is more famous for its architectural design and magnificent interiors architectural than of the movies screened in it.

9 stars on the exterior signify 9 gem stones, which is the prime occupation of the current owners of Rajmandir. The lights brights  up the hall like shiny stars in the galaxy.
