Krishnakumar Kunnath, known as KK in the music world, was one of the eminent playback singers of India who has left many of his fans in grief after his shocking death.

Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar was born on May 31, 1725 in the village of Chondi in Jamkhed, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. She was the Holkar Queen of the Maratha Malwa kingdom, India who moved her capital to Maheshwar, south of Indore on the Narmada River.
In 1754, Ahilyabai’s husband Khanderao Holkar was killed in the battle of Kumbher and after 12 years, her father-in-law, Malhar Rao Holkar, passed away.
A year after that his sad demise, she was crowned as the queen of the Malwa kingdom.
Rani Ahilyabai tried to protect her kingdom from plundering invaders and personally led armies into battle. She appointed Tukojirao Holkar as the Chief of Army.
Rani Ahilyabai, builder of Hindu temples
Rani Ahilyabai was a great pioneer and builder of Hindu temples. She built hundreds of temples and Dharmashalas throughout India. She passed away on August 13 , 1795.
Ahilyabai’s father, Mankoji Rao Shinde, was the Patil of the village. Women then did not go to school, but Ahilyabai’s father taught her to read and write.

Her entrance on to the stage of history was quite interesting: Malhar Rao Holkar, serving as a commander in the service of the Maratha Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao and lord of the Malwa territory, stopped at Chaundi while on his way to Pune.
According to legend, he saw the eight-year-old Ahilyabai at the temple service in the village.
Recognising her empathy for poor and strong character, he brought the girl to the Holkar territory as a bride for his son, Khanderao (1723–1754).
She was married to Khanderao Holkar in 1733 and in 1745, she gave birth to their son Malerao. In 1748, a daughter Muktabai was born. Malerao was mentally unwell and died of his illness in 1767. Ahilyabai has been known for breaking stereotypes. She broke another tradition when she married her daughter to Yashwantrao a brave but poor man after he succeeded in defeating the dacoits.

Fateh Sagar Lake’s old name and history behind its construction
Old name of Fateh Sagar Lake is Dewali ka Talab. Construction of Fatehsagar Lake located in Udaipur was done by Maharana Jai Singh in 1688. Later, the lake was renovated in 1888 by Maharaj Fateh Singh.
In the year 1889, Duke of Connaught visited Udaipur and constructed a Connaught dam near Dewali village, whose foundation was also laid by him. Based on the village name, lake was earlier named as Dewali Talab.
Presently, this lake is known as Fateh Sagar Lake.
It is the only lake in Rajasthan where boats are run using solar energy.

The other cause Moose Wala worked for was cander. He used to organise an annual free cancer camp in his village. He also fancied himself as a farmer and had invested in land using his handsome earnings from music.
His songs he wrote and composed himself made it to the Top 5 in the UK charts last year. Things came to such a pass that once his mother Charan Kaur asked him to take a vow that he would only sing hymns from gurbani.
If there is one person that he was scared of, it was his mother. He had gone from house to house to seek votes for her in the 2018 Panchayat elections. Needless to say, she won.

The state also offers an avid traveler a vast range of tourism landscapes such as archaeology, religion, ecotourism and handicrafts.

Gita Contest competition was organised under the aegis of Hare Krishna Movement Rajasthan across the country on Sunday in which thousands of students participated with enthusiasm.
According to Amitasan Das, President, Hare Krishna Movement Rajasthan, “The online participants in the competition appeared online for their examinations from major cities of India, whereas for those opting for offline competition, the examination was held in Jaipur, Udaipur and Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, on Sunday morning.”
