Rajasthan Royals to play IPL final after 14 years; Butler’s hits against RCB takes RR to the final

Rajasthan Royals has registered a spectacular seven-wicket win against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 15th season of IPL thereby making Rajasthan Royal a strong claimant for IPL trophy in the final.

The team has reached finals for the first time after 14 years as it won the IPL title in 2008. It shall face Gujarat Titans to clinch the trophy.

 Jos Buttler’s 106 not out helped Rajasthan chase down the target of 158 with 11 balls to spare. With defeating RCB, Royals have reached the final of IPL after 14 years. Now on May 29, Rajasthan will face Gujarat Titans for the title of IPL.

Rajasthan in the final for the first time since 2008

Rajasthan Royals, led by Sanju Samson, has reached the final of IPL for the first time since 2008. In the first season of IPL, RR became the champion under the captaincy of Shane Warne. This time, Rajasthan Royals, who reached the finals, are on the threshold of repeating history due to their excellent performance from the league match of the tournament.

Best performance of Rajasthan players in IPL

There is no one among the six leading Rajasthan batsmen who have not hit a fifty in the tournament. Jos Buttler scored four centuries and three fifties for Rajasthan. Apart from him, Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal hit 2 fifty. While Shimran Hetmyer, Devdutt Paddkal, Riyan Parag hit 1 fifty each.

Even R Ashwin hit 1 half-century. Along with this, Rajasthan Royals played the entire season with 5 bowlers. In these, 4 bowlers were a part of the team continuously. Together these four bowlers took 70 wickets for the team. In these, Yuzvendra Chahal has taken 26, famous Krishna has 18, Trent Boult has 14 and R Ashwin has taken 12 wickets.

Butler captures the Orange Cap

In the 15th season of IPL, Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler has been batting brilliantly since the beginning. Because of which he has the title of Orange Cap since the beginning of the tournament. At the same time, Chahal also had a purple cap by taking 26 wickets. But recently Hasaranga has also snatched the Purple Cap title from by taking 26 wickets. Both Chahal and Hasranga have taken 26 wickets in IPL. But because of the best bowling, Hasranga has been awarded the Purple Cap. In such a situation, Chahal will have a chance to pass the Purple Cap once again in the final.

Sangakkara-Malinga filled the team with enthusiasm

The presence of Kumar Sangakkara and Lasith Malinga in Rajasthan Royals has emerged as the biggest plus point for the team. A month before the start of the league, both Sangakkara and Malinga were engaged in continuous practice sessions with the team. This is the reason that this time along with the international players, domestic players are also performing well in the league.
