Women entrepreneurs of AWWA scripting success story
Abhivyakti season 2, under AWWA, promotes women entrepreneurs. Here are some inspiring stories of entrepreneurs who were present at AWWA Lit Festival Abhivyakti Season 2. NIEUWEEK , the brand owned by one of those entrepreneurs, wooed the passers by.
This fashionable clothing Store promotes the traditional handwork of India. Engraving the enchanting Madhubani paintings, Tikuli art and Sujani embroidery on clothes, the sarees appeal one and all.
Speaking to EBNW Story, she said, “You don’t need to go for any international brand. it’s the heritage of ours which amalgamates with the new noir culture in vogue to give a product branded under NIEUWEEK.”
Another women entrepreneur who displayed her creativity was Sanchali Saga. She has a very beautiful creative saree collection. About a saree which attracted a huge crowd with its greenish blue coloured, she says that the saree pallu is of Ghicha(Ghicha is the silken yarn obtained from cocoon) & it has traditional Picchwayi work and kalamkari on its end. She also describes another saree which was shaded by batik work. Batik is a technique of wax-resist dyeing applied to the whole cloth.
The principal of the Asha special school run by AWWA Ms Uma was also present at the festival to promote the creativity of their children. She said that the teachers create different environments other than ordinary schools for the students who are with specific learning disabilities and have other health impairments,. Their focus is on developing the skills of students and their motive is to connect them with the mainstream. AWWA not only has a strong team of army wives and families but they are strongly working towards promoting our art and heritage and establishing milestones for society, she added.
AWWA Lit Festival in Jaipur had this session for children…
The Abhivyakti Season 2 organised under AWWA Lit Festival recently at JKK had many sessions and workshops. One session was marked for children it being Children’s Day on November 14. These included a workshop on Book publishing by Mr. Narendra Singh and the other TedTalk on personality development by Lokesh Nathani.
Coming to the TedTalk with Lokesh Nathani who shared the formula of becoming extrovert from introvert.
He briefed the 5 key ingredients of personality development such as talking to yourself first in front of a mirror, believing in yourself, never missing a chance to represent yourself publicly if you get a chance, keeping consistency no matter how successful you are or not, talking to strangers and interacting with them.
He also launched a book named ‘Public speaking unlocked’.
The other interesting workshop was about Book publishing by Narendra. He asked a question from students like how many of you like writing and why do people write. He told the students that 10 years ago, the self-publishers weren’t in trend. But nowadays where social media dominates a lot of sources are available for writers who want to publish their books.
He showed the pros and cons about traditional and self-publishing houses and gave examples of self publishing books like ‘Rich dad and poor dad’ by Robert Kyoski and ‘Slammed’ by Colleen Hover. He described the importance of international bar code on Books ‘ISBN’. Then at last the role of royalties on Book. Role of traditional publishing houses and impact on authors.
Urdu recitation of Ramayana
A lyrical and beautiful performance, laced with poetry based on eternal epic ‘Ramayana’ was presented by Fouzia Dastango at JKK in Jaipur during the AWWA Lit Festival Abhivyakti Season 2.
Fouzia has most recently been recognized and facilitated as “India’s First Woman Dastangoi Artiste ”by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India. She is a role model and an influencer.
Dastangoi is a 13th century Urdu oral storytelling art form Persian style of Dastan evolved in 16th century. Miss Fouzia gives her outstanding performance ‘Urdu recitation of Ramayana’. A few Urdu lines of her show are following when Laxman was injured and Vaid Sushain said-
Aasara mujhe parmatma ka hai, lekin dushwaar waqt pe milna dawa ka hai..
Haan, koi dronagiri parvat jaye aur subhah hone se pahle taaro mein chhanv ki laut aaye toh, janab butti mein yeh sibbat hai ki laxman ko agar pilaye, tooti na ho jo saans toh maut ke muh se khinch laaye…..
She was glad with the responses of the audience, she said Jaipur has people who love literature. She came with Ramayana in Urdu and people loved it.
About her work, she has performed many plays like Dastan -e- Meera Kumari, Dastan -e-Madhubala, Dastan -e-Mahabharata and Mahatama Gandhi. Coming to the challenges, she said Urdu is hard to understand for people so they are using their expressions for clear understanding of people. She established a milestone for artiste and also contributed to her immense efforts in promoting the culture.
Rajasthan Handicraft Policy 2022: All for art and artisans
In India, craftsmanship and art are widely promoted. Rajasthan in fact stands synonymous to art and craft and hence the state government ordered the launch of the First Rajasthan Handicraft Policy 2022 on 17th September 2022. The government made the policy to highlight entrepreneurship in art and craft, plus to Influence the investment in the field of cultural heritage.
The Rajasthan handicraft policy aims to create more awareness about marketing enhancement, eventually bringing more handicraft growth. The policy will begin to revive art.
Rajasthan handicraft policy 2022 will provide more significant opportunities for the people. Thus, it will eventually increase the employment rate in the state. Shakuntla Rawat stated that the Rajasthan handicraft policy 2022 is a well-executed plan to establish infrastructure in the form of Rajasthan for the benefit of art and craft.
The planned policy is focused on authorising handicrafts, which empowers the art and craftsperson. The procedure is straight aimed at generating the effect of art and craft. The ministry also claimed that the policy emphasizes the export of art, providing coverage of international exchange.
The policy also envisions various provisions, such as establishing state-level awards in different categories. One can also focus on brand building. Similarly, the policy will also vocalize e-marketing, loan facility, and scholarship. There will be plenty of events that will encourage the students and youth to understand the cultural heritage of Rajasthan.
The government made the policy due to the hard work of artists and handicrafts worldwide.
Therefore, the world craft council declared that Jaipur is the “world craft city” due to its Havelis, gates, and beautiful scenic heritage. Thus, the Rajasthan handicraft policy will bring out the best in the state and its people.
AWWA Lit Festival Season 2: Army wives discuss changing times & trends
On the first day of Abhivyakti season 2, Army wives discussed changing times and trends in different sessions.
In an interesting interaction in Nagma-e-Zindagi, the women writers discussed how technology had changed things. They shared how women were tired of shopping earlier, now their hands get tired while scrolling. Emojis have started expressing shrunk emotions.
One of the panellists, famous author Kiran Parmar, threw light on the role of the 3Rs (Response, responsible, and responsibilities). She also questioned why society does not respond promptly to devastating events like the Nirbhaya case and demanded a robust law for women’s safety.
Another author Kusum Lata Singh stated that life has given many perspectives to wives. “We have to choose what is wrong and what is right.”
Some events affect the sensibility of our hearts, and life becomes a story. “Not for me or for you but for all,” she said adding, “Sometimes literature shows the mirror of truth.”
Indu Tomar discussed that if we picture life as a woman, it will have similar emotions, such as being happy sometimes and sad in other aspects.
Manju discussed women empowerment on how we must manage our life with nature. she stated that women are in different roles at different times as their presence is essential to the world nowadays. She also discussed five elements that reflect the women’s core.
Swapnil Pandey shares the inspiration behind writing Force Behind the Forces…
Acclaimed writer Swapnil Pandey, author of ‘Force Behind The Forces’ was part of a heartwarming panel discussion with Veer Naris wherein the latter shared their inspiring and touching stories.
She said that these are important stories which each Indian should know.
Lt Command DS Chauhan inspired me to write this book. She was married to him for one and half months; her husband sacrificed his life saving INS Vikramaditya which is pride of india.
“When she received the news of supreme sacrifice of her husband, she was in trauma and did not know how to cope up with situation. She was Googling how Veer naris controlled their agony. No one talks of women, Write so that Veer Naris can cope up with their trauma.
At ‘Rangayan’ auditorium, the morning session of ‘Naghma – E – Zindagi’ brought forth awe evoking poems to the audience while at ‘Madhyavarti’ auditorium, the session ‘Safarnama – Kaagaz Se Kitab Tak’ was about the writers, editors and publishers sharing their literary journeys.
The next two sessions at Rangayan were ‘Role of Army Wives as Role Models – Chhotey Kadam’ and ‘Kavyadhara-The Universe In Verse’.
‘Chhotey Kadam’ was an absorbing panel discussion with brave women officers of the Indian Army who have set high benchmarks in their respective fields. These officers included first gallantry awardee Lt Col Madhumita, first War Widow to join Indian Army, Lt Col R J Randhawa, first Lady Instructor at Officers Training Academy, Capt Reenu Khurana and first woman paratrooper of the Indian Army, Capt Ruchi Sharma. ‘Kavyadhara’ was another mesmerising session at Rangayan which witnessed poets sharing their composition with the audience.
A very warm interaction with Army officers and their roles impressed audience in the Rangayan theatre. The panellists as well as moderator shared an extraordinary life experience through their conversation. The first panelist was former paratrooper Captain Ruchi Sharma; she highlighted a positive aspect of male counterparts and said that acceptance as women officer by their male counterparts is quite large and added “Our boys And men’s have very very large heart.”
The next guest panellist was Colonel Randhawa who she shared her story that how she got attracted towards the Army’s uniform and duty. She decided to join Army in her later stage and said opportunities open doors for many like her.
Captain Renu Sharma shared her experience in 1994 when she was posted at Udhampur district of Jammu. She was part of cycling.
The final and well known personality Lt Col Mitali Madhumita, shared her story behind this when she was deployed in Kabul in 2009. She spoke on how she saved people.
The post lunch events were equally absorbing. Veena Naravane launched the books ‘Nal To Theek Hai’ and ‘Kab Tak’ written by Meenu Tripathi. At Rangayan, the session ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani – Walk Through The Wall’ covered the stories of Army wives who emerged as successful entrepreneurs against all odds. At ‘Madhyavarti’, the session ‘Roobaroo Part I – Meet Your Author’ was an interactive session wherein the authors discussed their work with the book lovers.
The day also included few workshops on varied subjects of interest. ‘Build Your Own Bussiness’ was a workshop for budding entrepreneurs by Mrs Usha Goswami. Another interesting workshop on ‘Social Influencing’ was conducted by Sapna Agrawal & Sonia Handa.
As the day progressed, the cultural shows and musical performances added colour to the event .Stand up comedy by celebrated artists Harpriya Bains and Lt Col Ankita Srivastava had the audience in splits. A musical performance by the famous Army Symphony Band ended the day on a high. Going by the adage ‘morning shows the day’ one can only expect greater fun and excitement as the fest progresses.

AWWA Literature Festival Abhivyakti Season 2 was inaugurated at Jaipur with ribbon cutting and diya lighting ceremony on November 12.
Archana Pande, President, AWWA inaugurated the event and delivered the opening address.
Pandey, speaking on the occasion, said, “This programme is about books writers, authors, poets, literature and much much more.”
Thereafter, she launched the book ‘Amaltas’ written by Nidhi Khali Dhyani. The AWWA President also took a tour of the venue and appreciated the efforts put in for the conduct of the event. Addressing the gathering thereafter, she spoke on the important role of AWWA in supporting Army wives in all their endeavours.
She also spoke about the journey of ‘Abhivyakti’ and its role towards women empowerment.
A nagada performance by renowned artist Nathulal Solanki mesmerised the audience.
Bageshwar Dham Sarkar Chhatarpur: Devotees get solutions to their problems via applications
Bageshwar Temple Dham is one such temple where devotees get solutions to their problems by applying a petition in the temple.
An application is made by the Maharaja of the temple “Shri Dhirendra Krishna” ji in front of Lord Balaji in Bageshwar Temple Dham to solve the problems of the people through tokens.

Bageshwar Dham temple is located in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh state. If you want to come to visit and request your problems, then you will have to travel by road from a small town called Ganj located on Khajuraho Panna Road of Chhatarpur.
The distance from Ganj to Bageshwar Dham temple is 35 km. After going about 3 km further on this road, a place named Gada village comes. Here in Gada village, you get to see a grand temple Hanuman Balaji Maharaj. It is here at this temple that the problems of the people are heard by the temple priest and Maharaj Shri Dhirendra Krishna ji and their application is made in front of their God.
HCCB joins hands with Forests by Heartfulness to advance its 25-lakh tree plantation initiative 
Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), one of India’s leading FMCG companies,has partnered with Forests by Heartfulness and other partners, to advance its 25-lakh tree plantation drive. The initiative by HCCB will cover multiple states in India and help to create a carbon sink of approximately 1500 tonnes of CO2 emissions in the next 3-5 years. HCCB and Heartfulness announced their partnership at the World Headquarters of Heartfulness Kanha, Village, Hyderabad
The first tranche of the drive in Telangana earlier this year saw the plantation of 7,500 saplings at ‘Bruhat Pattana Prakruti Vanam,’ in Ameenpur municipality encompassing an area of 5 acres, with another 7500 saplings going into avenue plantation. Hundreds of volunteers, HCCB employees, women self-help groups, community elders, villagers, pollution control boards, and forestry department officials have come together as part of the drive since then.
At least 1 lakh trees will be planted in Telangana by the end of this financial year.
Speaking about HCCB’s target of 25 lakh plantations, Neil Comerford, Executive Director & Chief Commercial & Sales Officer, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages said, “As we complete 25 years of our inception, we understand the importance of going above and beyond to ensure that our sustainability strategy remains current, coordinated, and aligned for maximum effectiveness. Establishing green belts is critical to the ecological balance of the states in which we operate. This initiative is not only an exercise in tree plantation but also a troika of carbon sink, community welfare, and ecological benefit. The initiative goes beyond the idea of just maintaining our social license and is a step towards ESG+ that is enhancing our sustainability efforts. The Forests by Heartfulness initiative promulgated many critically endangered indigenous plant species by employing the proprietary Heartyculture High Density (HCHD) plantation method. This method involves extensive soil reconstitution using Activated Biochar, Vermicompost, Cow manure, and Cocopeat. HCCB will facilitate the plantation of over 100 different species of trees to create a mini forest. The trees selected for the plantation drive are native, and endemic and support one another through an extensive root network and will be sourced from Heartfulness Institute.
