New Delhi, July 21: Renowned Indian sculptor Naresh Kumar Kumawat has added another landmark achievement to his illustrious career with the creation of the ‘Viksit Haryana’ commemorative memento, which was presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini during a major development event in Jind, Haryana.
The presentation took place as the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several key infrastructure and development projects in the state.
A Symbol of Haryana’s Progress
Conceptualised and handcrafted by Kumawat, the ‘Viksit Haryana’ memento has been designed as a visual representation of Haryana’s developmental journey and its aspirations for the future. The artwork symbolises the state’s transformation while aligning with the national vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).
Created using a combination of materials, the sculpture reflects a harmonious blend of Haryana’s rich cultural heritage and modern progress. It showcases the state’s strengths in agriculture, expanding infrastructure, women’s empowerment, youth aspirations, and overall socio-economic development, portraying Haryana as a key contributor to India’s growth story.
Artist Reflects on the Honour
Expressing his gratitude, Naresh Kumar Kumawat described the opportunity as one of the proudest moments of his career.
“This handcrafted memento is an honour and an achievement for me. It reflects Haryana’s remarkable progress in development, cultural heritage, agricultural advancement, women empowerment, youth aspirations and the vision of Viksit Bharat. It is a privilege to contribute towards presenting Haryana’s journey on a national platform. I am deeply grateful to Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini Ji for his constant guidance and encouragement throughout this journey,” he said.
A Celebrated Sculptor
Naresh Kumar Kumawat is widely recognised for creating some of India’s most iconic monumental sculptures. His portfolio includes the 369-foot Statue of Belief (Vishwas Swaroopam) in Rajasthan, the Statue of Social Justice, as well as several sculptures and monuments installed in the new Parliament building, the Supreme Court of India, and prestigious public spaces in India and abroad.
His works are known for combining artistic excellence with cultural storytelling, often celebrating India’s heritage, values and national identity.

With the creation of the ‘Viksit Haryana’ memento, Kumawat has once again used sculpture as a medium to narrate a larger story.
