Shiv Pratap Singh, student of Saksham Sanchar Foundation shared his experience of travelling to Amritsar.
Amritsar a city located in Punjab, India, approximately 600 km from my home Jaipur. During my visit, I chose to explore three significant sites:
– The Golden Temple,
– Jallianwala Bagh,
– and the Attari Border (also known as the Wagha Border in Pakistan).
Upon arrival I was struck by the high temperature, but the enthusiasm of the BSF soldiers and the patriotic songs played over the speakers was infectious, energizing the crowd. The Indian side was bustling with people, while the Pakistani side had barely 20-40 people a stark contrast.
The Golden Temple, a spiritual hub, has a rich military history, including the infamous Operation Blue Star in 1984, when the Indian army attacked the temple to remove Sikh separatists. The operation, ordered by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, resulted in the deaths of over 80 soldiers and hundreds of pilgrims. The temple was rebuilt by Indian armed forces personnel..
Lastly, Jallianwala Bagh, a beautiful garden, serves as a poignant reminder of the bravery of Indian citizens, with bullet marks on the walls still visible.
In conclusion, everyone has a unique interest, and mine lies in history.
Aditi Kumari, student of Saksham Sanchar Foundation shared her mysterious experience at Bhangarh Fort.
A travel to mysterious place. It is full of green hills. Ghost? Isn’t it’s sound shocking .well that’s the place bhangarh fort is all about
Bhangarh fort is a 16th century fort built in Rajasthan. It is shrouded in myths and some real incident it has too many stories but some most popular story is about the curse of the tantrik and the story of the princess Ratnavati. As the fort is cursed by Guru Balu Nath, the spot where fort has been built was some time a meditation place and the king persuaded him that the fort’s shadow would not touch him at his place, which does not happen and curse of the hermit followed and which destroy the whole village.
The princess story was about a wizard fell in love with princess and princess was one day going out with his friend, the wizard change the ittar in love potion but that was known by princess .this make wizard angry and she crushed the princess death and before being death, he crushed the city stating that it would be destroy soon and know one will be alive and first destroy get in the market.
It was the month of November the day before my birthday we planned to go the trip.We decided to go to the mysterious place and a haunted place. The first named pop up is bhangarh fort as it was near to Jaipur around 83Km, we left the home at 8 AM it took us maximum 1and half hour to reach to bhanghar fort.
After reaching to the fort we took the tickets it cost 20 Rs per person. After taking the tickets we entered the first thing we saw was the map of bhanghar fort .We moved ahead after passing through some old buildings and saw 4 temples. The buildings there were made up of rocks crystal. We enter the market where in the ancient times people used to sell things.
But I don’t know why some negative enery felt there and the people living there also says that after 6 PM the soul of the people starts roaming around. Is it a myth or real, don’t know but the Bhangarh gates closes at 6 PM, before it the security guards check if someone is inside or not. I enjoyed a lot there but be aware of the snakes and monkeys. If you are a person who is interesting in mysterious things or places must definitely visit here … It was a great experience for me.
Jyoti Nayal, student of Saksham Sanchar Foundation shared her experience of travelling to Mahadev Mukteshwar Temple.
Last year I visited the One of the most famous Temple of Uttrakhand .
The journey was full of adventure, fun,and religious. The weather is very calm and pleasant and has few steps to climb as it is situated on the hills .
There are many mythological stories about the Temple. The temple houses idols of Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma along with a white marble Shiva Linga with a Copper yoni. The Mukteshwar temple is believed to be one of the 18 most important Shiva temples in the world.
Way : The temple complex is an ideal place for meditation. You can either drive to the temple or chose to trek. It’s not a well paved trekking trail but a narrow mud path through the fruit orchards and coniferous forest that locals use. A beautiful nature walk of around 2 hours will take you to hill top. It’s an easy trek and easily be done by the beginners .
When I visited in June, the forest was lush green and the path was covered by brown dry pine needles that made it slippery. So we needed to be extra careful.
Apart from the temple — one can also visit a rock named ‘Chauli Ka Jali’, located near the temple which is used for rock climbing and rappelling.
With lush green trails and narrow lanes, Mukteshwar is a popular destination for trekking, apart from rock climbing and rappeling . Major attractions here are the picturesque orchards, coniferous forests, rolling meadows, and little cottages and homes built in quaint colonial style. As it is located on a high hill, there are ample opportunities for clicking some beautiful pictures of the low-lying regions from here.
