The government established a policy prohibiting the consumption of alcoholic beverages in public places
Privacy is essential for everyone. Thus, it is vital to maintain a decorum where everyone respects each other’s privacy. The Goa government recently issued an advisory which states one should ask for the tourists’ consent before taking solo photos of tourists or a photo with the tourists. However, it is mandatory to maintain this while they are on the beaches or having fun.
Therefore, this measure will ensure tourists’ safety and privacy.
Barbecues are frequently held on beaches and in open spaces. However, in the guideline, cooking in the open space has also been banned to prevent unforeseen risks. Plus, consuming alcohol on beaches is forbidden. One must follow the rules; if found guilty, one has to pay a penalty of 50,000.
The guideline strictly prohibited taking selfies in rocky or risky areas. Therefore, it will save many lives.
It is advised to the tourists not damage the historical places. Tourists are also advised to only pay the amount indicated on the taxi meter to avoid overcharging. The government had stated that the tourists must stay inside the hotel that the tourist management had arranged.
According to the guideline, the tourists are advised to stay alert as there would be many people who would sell them stolen bikes or cars. The guidelines were issued on January 26 by the Goa Tourism Department. Thus, the main aim of the guideline is to protect tourist privacy and security. Furthermore, to protect them from fraud.
