Not only that, the State Govt also offers State Salutation ( Rashtriya Salami)
to Goddess Durga …!!! This Durga Puja takes place every year at the 500 year old
Durgabari Temple in Agartala and continues to draw devotees and revellers from all parts of India along with neighbouring countries, including Bangladesh..!
As stated in a Merger agreement between the Tripura Royals and The Indian Union
(1949), the Puja for the temple, since then, has been the State’s responsibility…!!
