The playoffs have been contested by several clubs. Thus, this made this season of the Hero ISL more intriguing.
Therefore, Mumbai City FC won the League Shield. Nonetheless, ATK Mohun Bagan, Bengaluru FC, and Kerala Blasters FC have already advanced to the playoffs as of Matchweek 21. While Odisha FC and FC Goa are still up in the air as the clubs who are preparing for the last game of the league stage.

However, following the recent controversy with Sunil Chettri’s free kick, the 2023 Indian Super League (ISL) playoff between Bengaluru FC and Kerala Blasters came to a contentious conclusion.
Thus, both sides were scoreless after the opening 90 minutes of the contest. However, in the final minute of regulation, Chettri scored a goal off a free kick to give Bengaluru a much-needed advantage.
