India created history in Dubai by defeating Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final to win the title for the ninth time. This was the first-ever India vs Pakistan final in the 41-year history of the Asia Cup, making the clash even more special. The Men in Blue dominated throughout the tournament, beating Pakistan three times — in the group stage, the Super 4, and the final. With this win, India also ended an 18-year wait to beat Pakistan in a multi-nation tournament final, their last such triumph coming in the 2007 T20 World Cup.

The Asia Cup 2025 was full of records, with as many as 15 major milestones being set. The tournament also witnessed the highest aggregate in a T20 Asia Cup match, when India and Sri Lanka both scored 202 runs in the Super-4 stage, producing a combined total of 404 runs. In that same clash, India became the first team in world cricket to win six consecutive Super Overs, adding another feather to their cap.

India’s batting unit also achieved a record chase against Pakistan, successfully overhauling a target of 172 runs in just 18.5 overs. At the other end of the spectrum, the UAE registered the lowest T20I total against India, getting bowled out for just 57 runs.
