Who is Harleen Deol? 

This is the most asked-about question in the minds of people after she took an extraordinary catch on Friday night.

Deol, representing Team India, took one of the most magnificent catches on the boundary during the first match of the T20 series against England, which is now being touted as the most sensational and stunning catch in the history of cricket. With her catch, Deol helped dismiss England batter Amy Jones during the 19th over of the first innings at Northampton.

Harleen Deol comes from Punjab who is an aggressive batter representing Himachal Pradesh in domestic cricket. 

She is a 23-year-old right-hand player, strong against spin bowlers due to her nimble footwork, says Cricbuzz. 

The Indian cricketer played gully cricket with boys while growing up. While her neighbours were not pleased with her behaviour, her parents, especially her mother, was a strong supporter. Initially an off-spinner, Deol shifted to leg-spin in the Punjab sub-junior side. Like most wrist spinners, Deol is a big fan of Shane Warne and impressed in the exhibition match that was played between women’s cricketers across the globe, held during IPL 2019.

She is a tweaker, a wrist spinner and has the skill to be a genuine all-rounder. She made her international debut in 2019 across both the white-ball formats.
