Here are some famous and inspirational quotes given by her:

We want deeper sincerity of motive, greater courage in speech and earnestness in action

A country’s greatness is established on the foundations of its love and sacrifice.

My heart is weak and unhappy alone. It looks like ambitions like fluttering leaves have gone.

Sense of justice is the main objective of the Isle of man because of the vibrant principles that it offers

It implies the victory and glory that is to be achieved. Since after a night of misery, comes the morning, bearing with it, the hope for a better tomorrow and the hope for glory is being understood in these lines.

I am not ready to die because it requires infinitely greater courage to live.

Nay, do not weep; new hopes, new dreams, new faces,The unspent joy of all the unborn years, Will prove your heart a traitor to its sorrow And make your eyes unfaithful to their tears

World Radio Day 2022: Know its significance, history and theme

0

The World Radio Day (WRD) is celebrated each year on February 13 after being proclaimed in 2011 as an International Day by the Member States of UNESCO, and adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012.

As radio continues to be one of the most trusted and used media in the world, according to different international reports, the theme of the 2022 edition of World Radio Day is thus devoted to “Radio and Trust”.

EBNW Story takes a walk through the history of radio to know its significance…

World Radio Day significance

TV gives everyone an image, but radio gives birth to a million images in a million brains, said Peggy Noonan, a renowned journalist.

No Matter how advance technology is and how it is making life better but Radio is incomparable and irreplaceable. Before the 19th century, wireless radio communication in everyday life was a thing of fantasy. With the invention of radio, transmission of messages became much easier.

World Radio Day history

Radio is one of the oldest and most widely consumed medium of communication. According to United Nation “Radio is part of humanity’s history.”

In fact, the age-old history of Radio is as interesting as Radio itself is. Radio waves were originally discovered by Heinrich Hertz, following the discovery of electromagnetic waves. The first step towards inventing radio involved discovering electromagnetic waves and their potential.

First practical radio was developed in 1895–1896 by Guglielmo Marconi, In 1908, another spectacular demonstration was held from the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Radio began to be used commercially after 1900. Prior to the 1920, the radio was used to contact ships that were out at sea.

In India, 1923 and 1924 were the years when three radio clubs were created which were  Bombay, Calcutta, and Madras. In 1923, the Radio Club broadcasted India’s first radio programme.

World Radio Day 2022 Theme

The 2022 edition of WRD is divided into three main sub-themes:

• Trust in radio journalism: Produce independent and high-quality content

• Trust and accessibility: Take care of your audience

• Trust and viability of radio stations: Ensure

Rajasthan houses a unique Shivlingam situated in a temple in village Chomu near Jaipur which changes its direction in every six months according to sun. Aakanksha Umath reports…

India is considered as adobe of Gods and Goddesses which houses many beautiful temples. Miracles keep happening in these temples which are far away to be proved scientifically by top scientists and hence faith rules and dominates among the followers.

In the same series, there is a mysterious yet unique temple in village Chomu near Jaipur, Rajasthan which is situated in lap of Aravalli Hills.

Devoted to Lord Siva, the thing which makes this temple exceptional is the unique Shivling.

This Shivling changes its direction in every 6 months according to sun.

Isn’t it unique?

Yes, it is. This thousand year old Maleshwar temple is considered holy and pious as the shivling inside it  changes its tilt depending on the sun’s direction. As the Sun keeps on moving in the direction of North and South in six months every year,  in the same way, this Shivling also tilts in the direction of the Sun.  Due to this miracle, it is a unique Shiva temple in the country.

According to legends, the Shivling got self installed here in the Vikram Samwant 1101. Maharakalan village used to be a part of Mahishmati city. This village was ruled by  Mahabali King Sahasrabahu. That is why this temple was named as Maleshwar Mahadev Temple.

Along with the magnificent past, this temple has pristine and incredible environment around for it is surrounded by beautiful mountains. Also, near the temple, there are beautiful water kunds.

How to reach the temple

Nearest railway station for Mahabaleshwar temple is Jaipur. You can take bus from Jaipur for Chomu. It takes just 40 to 50 min to reach Mahabaleshwar temple as it is 40 km away from Jaipur.

Rajasthan’s small town Nimbahera situated in Chittorgarh district has a well known food outlet named as Mausam Bahar. The outlet goes with its name as food aficionados can be seen making a beeline at the outlet right from 6 am.

Shubham Kumawat from Nimbhahera reports how the founder of this place justified the rags to riches story.

Success is always a journey of self-belief and hard work, it is something that is earned with sacrifice, perseverance and hope. With that keeping in our mind, let’s take a brief look at the journey of entrepreneur Ashok Kumar Jain who changed his fortunes with his hard work.

Ashok Kumar Jain was a resident of Nimbahera, a small town in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. You must be wondering what achievements had made him one of the influential persons of town and why his journey is one worth knowing.

Jain started his journey in 1984 when he decided to make Kachoris ( a spicy deep fried snack famous in India). He started his small business of making and selling Kachoris on his own from a small thela ( hand card).

He started it with baby steps and now has build a whole empire in Nimbahera. But was achieving this milestone so easy?

The answer is no, success is never easy and it never comes fast and so was his destination which was very far from him and it was his constant hard work and dedication that let him set a landmark over there.

When he started his business, there was such a shortage of money that he was not even able to afford buying ten days worth of necessary goods for making his snacks. He used to buy ration items everyday and sell kachoris daily.

With his constant effort, his business started rising slowly but steadily and he started his own sweets and bakery shop named ‘Mausam Bahar’, which has now become the most famous chain with restaurants and cafes too in Nimbahera.

After his death, Mausam Bahar is in run by his two sons Praveen Kumar Jain and Manish Jain who manage the business with dedication and determination.

Mausam Bahar is highly popular and loved by the people of Chittorgarh for his famous Kachori and Hing ka Paani. The sweets and bakery items are also made here. But one specialty of Mausam Bahar is its hygiene, special care of cleanliness and purity is given priority here.

Mausam Bahar has now became a food chain with, 2-3 sweets and bakery shops and few restaurants and cafes. With these outlets, this chain has generated good employment opportunities for the people of Nimbahera. Approximately 50-60 peoples have been provided employment.

Mausam Bahar Kachori and sweet shop is located near Nimbahera bus stand. A must visit shop for enjoying best Kachoris whenever you are in Nimbahera.

Narmada Jayanti 2022 celebrated in Rajasthan differently; students learn significance of rivers..

Narmada Jayanti in Rajasthan was celebrated differently. A few journalism students were invited to the screening of film Reva at INOX, GT Central Jaipur to educate and make them aware about River Narmada and its religious, spiritual and economic significance.

The session was organized at INOX, GT Central Jaipur by Saksham Sanchar Foundation and School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Manipal University, Jaipur.

Aakanksha further writes, “Reva released on 6th April 2018 in Gujarat lives up to the expectations and is a pleasure to watch. It shows the journey of an atheist to believer. The whole movie revolves around a 25 year old NRI who has been brought up in America and returns to India for his grandpa’s property. During his stay, he meets locals and understand the culture, customs, traditions, and beliefs of the people, which are different from the America. Also he understands the devotion of Indians towards River Narmada and Indians’ deep faith towards God. At the end, he himself takes up Narmada Parikarma after he strengthens his faith in holy River.”

“Reva can flood your eyes with tears of joy as you take a holy dip spiritually,” she adds.

Riya Shahi, another student of Manipal University Jaipur, said  “Celebrating Narmada Jayanti with a movie screening was a great initiative. We don’t often  often get a chance to celebrate such important days in this way. It was important for us to know the impact of river Narmada. The movie was great, it gives an essence of spirituality but with entertainment, the whole cast was great too. Every detail shown in the film, from how devotees offer saree to river Narmada to Narmada Parikrama was awesome. After watching this movie, anyone can definitely think of visiting Narmada River once.”

Divya Tripathi said “The movie Reva was really great throughout. I’m mesmerized by the mind blowing scenes. The director did a great job in selecting the actors, all the artists did justice with their respective roles. The story line, dialogues, cinematography everything was just perfect. I really enjoyed the movie and it was a must watch for not only Gujrati audiences but for all the movie lovers. I’m really thankful to Saksham Sanchar Foundation and Archana Sharma ma’am who organised this interesting session.”

Esha Jain of Manipal University Jaipur also shared her experience. She said “River Narmada is considered as Goddess and is also called as Reva. An Indian man, who is brought up in the US, visits an ashram near the Narmada River to take his will which his grandfather has donated to the ashram. But little did he know that trip to India will change his faith. During his stay, he meets a lot of locals who are a bit different from him, who had a bit different approach of life than him. Their faith in a River amuses him.

I enjoyed the movie a lot. I think anyone who watches this movie will find it interesting, entertaining and inspiring. Would love to attend more sessions like this.
