After the loss of electrifying opener KL Rahul due to his injury, the Indian cricket team is again facing another dangerous situation as Captain Rohit Sharma found COVID positive on Saturday afternoon through a rapid antigen test.

The Indian cricket team is now in worry of losing both first choice Opener i.e. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma.  The selectors are looking for another option for the only test match, which starts in Brimgham on July 1.  However, the selectors didn’t send a replacement for KL as Shubham Gill was designated as a reserve option for the test match.

The convenient option for opening, which selectors are looking for, could be Mayank Agarwal or Ruturaj Gaikwad.  If Rohit fails to recover, Jaspreet Bhumrah or Rishabh Pant may go for the captaincy.  The decision will be taken soon.

Each country may has different types of folks musics. From town to town, village by village this can be changed. Different music instrument or different style of folk music maybe used. Music has always been an important aspect in the lives of Indian people. India’s rich cultural diversity has greatly contributed to various forms of folk music. Almost every region in India has its own folk music, which reflects the way of life. From the peppy bhangra of Punjab to Garba of Gujarat to Bhavageete of Karnataka, the tradition of folk music in India is indeed great.

Like many other aspects of India, folk music too is diverse because of the cultural diversity. While the reason behind its origin and the method of usage remains more or less the same throughout India, the style in which it is sung and the way in which it is perceived differs depending upon the culture of different Indian states. Many of these folk songs were composed by great poets and writers belonging to different parts of the country.

The main feature of a regional song is the regional language, while the main feature of a folk song is the song that has historically been created by a folk singer.

Today, almost every Indian state/region has a folk song of its own and some of them are associated with a dance form as well.

So GeetMala came with all aspects of folk music and Bollywood music which did mesmerise the audience.

India: Fourth in global gold recycling

0

India became the fourth largest gold recycler worldwide. In 2021, it has recycled 75 tonnes of gold, says a report released by World Gold Council (WGC).

About Gold refining and recycling report

  • The Gold refining and recycling report was recently released by WGC recently.
  • In the report, China ranked first in global gold recycling chart after it recycled 168 tonnes of gold in 2021.
  • China is followed by Italy at second position, with recycling of 80 tonnes gold and US stands at third position, with recycling of 78 tonnes in 2021.

India’s gold refining capacity

The report says that India’s gold refining capacity has increased from 300 tonnes in to 1,500 tonnes in 2021, witnessing a jump by 500 per cent. Its capacity has changed in last decade.

Unorganised refining decrease in India?

  • Scale of unorganised refining decreased due to tightening pollution regulations by government.
  • Furthermore, tax advantages have underpinned growth of gold refining industry in India.
  • Import duty differential on ore, over refined bullion has encouraged the growth of organised refining in India.
  • Thus, share of gold ore of overall imports has increased from 7 per cent in 2013 to 22 per cent in 2021.

India’s potential

India can become a competitive refining hub if next phase bullion market reforms encourage responsible sourcing, consistent supply of ore or scrap and exports of bars.

Concerns

Despite being the fourth largest recycler worldwide, India recycles less of its own stock of gold. It accounts for around 8 per cent of global scrap supply.
