Joshimath: The city that’s slowly sinking?

0

The recent landslide in Joshimath had led everyone to worry

Joshimath, also known as Jyotirmath, is a city in the Chamoli district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is located 6150 feet above sea level. The place is famous for one of the four sacred peethas that Adi Guru Shri Shankaracharya constructed during the eighth century. In addition, it is the hub for skiing and hiking. For Hindu devotees, it is one of the main pilgrimage destinations.

One of the best times to see the snow-capped mountains is from December to February.

This location’s history is equally vibrant. Thus, between the 7th and 11th centuries, the Katyuri Kings ruled Joshimath. The capital of the Katyuri Kings was Katyuri, which is today known as Baijnath Valley in Kumaon. They used to pursue Buddhism but eventually switched to Hinduism, identifying as Brahmins and continuing the same tradition.

Thus, after a recent incident, it shook the whole of India. After a temple fell and cracks formed in more than 600 homes due to soil sinking, authorities in Joshimath town in Uttarakhand stopped building work and began relocating hundreds of residents to temporary shelters.

Additionally, road cracks that prevented car movement were seen on television.

Travelers stop here for the night before continuing to religious and hiking locations including Badrinath, Hemkund Sahib, Auli, and the Valley of Flowers. The Indian Army considers it to be strategically important as well. Towards this purpose, the hill town has experienced a dramatic increase in population and development activity during the past few decades. Thus, this has become a reason for the sinking.

Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister of Uttarakhand, has mandated the immediate removal of 600 residents from the area to encounter the circumstances. CM Dhami interacted with people of all ages, including young children and elderly individuals, to learn about their issues immediately.

When an earthquake happens, both people and property will sustain significant damage. Based on a government assessment, landslides have destroyed 561 residential buildings, including two sizable hotels here. The government estimate of the damage is larger than the projected real damage, though. Thus, the recent landslide also worried the people into thinking of the city as sinking.

The significance of Karni Mata temple in Hinduism

0

The auspicious Karni Mata temple is one of the most famous Hindu temples in India.

Shubham

The temple is in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan. Goddess Karni Mata is worshipped in the temple. It is situated at Deshnok, 30 kilometers south of Bikaner. Karni Mata emerged in the Charan Kul. However, this temple is also known as the “temple of rats.” The darshan of the white Kaaba (rat) in the temple is considered auspicious and pure. This holy temple is home to approximately 25000 rats.

Some people visit the temple here, especially to see the beautiful marble carvings at the main entrance of the temple. The astonishing silver door, the gold umbrella, and the big silver dish are kept here for the offerings made for the rats (Kaaba). All of these are worth seeing after one pays a visit to the temple.

Devotees believe that Karni Devi is the incarnation of Maa Hinglaj Mata. There are many beliefs; one of them is that about six and a half hundred years ago, at the place where this grand temple is situated, the goddess used to worship her deity by living in a cave there. This cave is still located on the temple premises. After the Goddess’s Jyotirlinga, according to her wish, her idol was established in this cave. The idol in the Goddess’s own temple was made by a blind devotee, Khati. It is said that Bikaner and Jodhpur states were established with the blessings of Maa Karni.

The grandeur of the marble temple is a sight to watch. As soon as you cross the main door and reach the inside of the temple, you will be witnessing rats and their rat race. The number of rats can be estimated from the fact that to walk, one must keep dragging their feet on the ground rather than taking their next step. Thus, this is how people reach the front of the idol of Karni Maa while dragging their feet.

The rats are present throughout the entire temple premises. They are seen jumping over the bodies of devotees, but they do not harm anyone. To protect these rats from eagles, vultures, and other animals, there is a fine mesh on the open places in the temple.

Because of the presence of these rats, the temple of Maa Karni Devi is also known as the “temple of rats.” Hence, it is believed that if a devotee sees a white rat (Kaaba) here, it is considered very auspicious. The abundance of rats at the time of Mangala Aarti at 5 in the morning and Aarti at 7 in the evening is worth watching. Thus, one must visit the temple.

Experience the advanced 5G network in Rajasthan from today in three cities

Chief Minister introduces 5G Jio network in Jaipur, claims that the internet has turned into opium

In Rajasthan, the long wait for 5G has officially ended. Today, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot inaugurated the Reliance Jio service out of Jaipur in three locations. Ashok Gehlot pressed a button to start the high-speed internet service at Bhamashah Techno Hub. Thus, starting today, the corporation will offer this service in the Rajasthani cities of Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur.

Certainly, Rajasthan uses most of the data, and the Chief Minister stated in the program that the data has its own significance. Therefore, the next step is to set a goal and bring 5G service to every community. The internet, according to Gehlot, has turned into a drug. Whenever people are seated together, they don’t talk to each other. They are only misplaced online. caught up on the phone.

In Rajasthan, Jio has constructed 18,000 towers. By the end of this month, Kota will also get 5G service, according to him. Users will thereafter benefit from 5G service in Bikaner and Ajmer, starting in February, soon.

It will have high-speed internet access, enabling customers to download up to 4 GB of video or other material in only 5 seconds. Thus, according to the corporation, mobile internet subscribers in these cities will start receiving speeds of 1000 Mbps starting today. However, the organization from Nathdwara in Rajsamand has already launched this service.

As per Gehlot, Jio has revolutionized the phone industry compared to before. In Rajiv Gandhi’s time, many used to predict that the internet and computer revolution would lead to mass unemployment, but now, you can already see how technology is having a positive impact.

Therefore, the company claims that with the upcoming rollout of 5G, complaints about latency will decrease or even disappear. The duration takes for data to be sent from one place to another is known as latency in the language of telecommunication. As a result, the average person is bothered by lag or lag during data calling and video conferencing.

However, Jio consumers must update their SIM and phone to a 5G model to take advantage of this service, according to experts. Thus, customers will be able to upgrade their SIM for 5G using the Jio app. They won’t even need to purchase a new SIM with this.

Nevertheless, Telecom insiders claim that Airtel previously tested its 5G service in a few locations in Jaipur. Where in a few locations within Civil Lines, C-scheme, 5G service was tested, and speeds of more than 1,000 Mbps were obtained. Thus, Airtel may launch its 5G service in a few Rajasthani cities by the month’s end or the following month.
