The new foreign trade policy (FTP) aims to increase India’s total exports to $2 trillion by 2030 with equal contributions from the goods and services sectors; the revised FTP went into force on April 1, 2022.

The recipients are given job-oriented skills through the Vocational Skills Development component. Adults who have not had formal education are to receive it through the Basic Education component. When a person has finished the basic education component, the continuing education component focuses on continuing their education.

To determine who will benefit from this program, door-to-door surveys using a mobile app are carried out throughout the States/UTs. The NILP plan is mostly implemented online, making it available to beneficiaries all around the nation.
