On the third and final day of the G20 Tourism Working Group (TWG) meeting in Srinagar, the delegates began their day with invigorating yoga and sports activities. Following this, they had the privilege of visiting Nishant Bagh, where they embraced the rich Kashmiri culture by donning traditional attire for a memorable group photo session.
During the third TWG session on Tuesday, the delegates explored the local craft market, indulging in a delightful shopping experience. It was on the second day of the meeting that LG Manoj Sinha expressed his optimism, stating that Jammu and Kashmir would soon secure its place among the top 50 tourist destinations in the world.
While five countries, namely China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Indonesia, and Egypt, were unable to participate in this summit, the youth of Kashmir remain confident that this gathering will pave the way for an increased influx of foreign tourists. The summit witnessed the participation of 61 delegates from 29 countries.
Furthermore, on May 22nd, the delegates were warmly welcomed by Kashmiri women upon their arrival at the airport. After the first day’s meeting, they had the pleasure of visiting Dal Lake, where they relished the serene beauty while seated in the iconic shikara boats. Notably, apart from the foreign delegates, renowned South Indian actor Ramcharan Teja also graced the event with his presence.

Out of all this, there is a family in Ajmer, Rajasthan who have 185 people in it. Villagers also make fun of the family by calling their family as if they are a district in themselves. But this family is an inspiration of togetherness for the country and state.
In this family, the food is cooked oven with 13 stoves for 185 people of the family. Although the senior member of the family is illiterate he is making his children and grand childs aware to go for teaching and other occupations. Two people in the family are teachers while the other two are compounders. Also, some other members are doing private jobs.
In the village, the whole family has an exclusive dominance through which in 2016, one of their daughters-in-law won the elections of sarpanch by 800 votes. Head of the family, Virdi Singh says that his father “Sultan” has taught him to make the family united. According to Virdi Singh, his father had 6 sons and with time their family continuously grew and the youngest child of their family is born just 5 months ago. He told that the ladies of the family get up at 4 in the morning to prepare the food for the family. On two stoves 25 kg of food is prepared at a time while the other 11 stoves are used for making 25 kg chapattis.
According to the elderly people of the family, their prime occupation was farming and they have 125 acres of land for it. They also have more than 100 cows and hens whose milk and eggs respectively are a big source of income for the family. The elderly ladies of the family prepare the food while other daughters and daughters-in-law of the family take care of the farms and animals. The Assam government has asked school teachers to not wear casual or Western clothes like T-shirts, jeans, or leggings in schools, saying that it is not acceptable to the public at large. The state government wants to uphold the decency of education institutes and this decision is part of it, Assam education minister Ranoj Pegu wrote on Saturday, 21st May on Twitter. Governor Gulab Chand Kataria directed orders under the state education departmental policy.
Education secretary Narayan Konwar wrote in a letter on Friday night saying that “ It has come to notice that some teachers of educational institutions have the habit of wearing the dress of their choice, which sometimes does not appear to be acceptable by public at large. Since a teacher is expected to be an example of all sorts of decency, especially while discharging their duties, it has become necessary to follow a dress code that should reflect a sense of decorum, decency, professionalism, and seriousness of purpose at the workplace”
Male teachers will have to wear collared shirts and formal pants and female teachers will wear salwar suits, sarees, or mekhela chador. Also, female teachers have been asked to not wear T-shirts, jeans, or leggings.
The letter said that “ Both male and female teachers should be dressed up in clean, modest, and decent clothes of sober colors, which should not look flashy. Casual and part apparel should be strictly avoided. The order shall be complied with scrupulously by all concerned and any deviation from this may invite disciplinary action as per the rules. ”
Pegu said that “ If all the students can wear uniforms in their schools, why can’t the teachers maintain this? The teachers should dress properly. This will give a positive message”
The order has been sent to the mission director of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, directors of elementary education, secondary education and the State Council of Educational Research and Training, the education minister’s office, all principals of schools, and district elementary education officers.
Teachers’ organizations in the state haven’t responded to the order by now.
