Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Hosts ‘Panorama 2024’ for Online Learners

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) organized ‘Panorama’, a special in-person event for students enrolled in its online degree and certificate programs. Held at the MAHE campus in Manipal, the event saw over 300 students from across the country come together to meet their peers and faculty. Participants included students from various programs such as MBA, MSc Business Analytics, MSc Data Science, PGCP Business Analytics, and PGCP Logistics & Supply Chain Management. The day-long event ran from 9 AM to 5 PM.

This first-of-its-kind event for MAHE’s online students aimed to foster personal and professional connections among attendees. The online learners, many of whom are working professionals from different states and cities, engaged in a series of activities designed to encourage interaction and networking.

Dr. Manojkumar Nagasampige, Director of the Directorate of Online Education at MAHE, welcomed the students and expressed his gratitude to those who traveled to attend. “This is our first in-person gathering for online students, and I am confident that you will leave the campus with lasting friendships and invaluable connections,” he said.

Mr. Sanjaya Mariwala, has taken over as the new President of the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IMC). He succeeds Mr. Samir Somaiya, who has completed his tenure.

With a distinguished career spanning over four decades, Mr. Mariwala brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this new role. He is the Executive Chairman and Managing Director of OmniActive Health Technologies Ltd, with a controlling shareholding of TA Associates. OmniActive is one of the leading nutraceutical ingredients manufacturing companies globally. He has made significant contributions in several industries through management and board roles. Bombay Oil Industries Ltd, Kancor Ingredients, Auto Hangar, and VKL Spices, are some of them.


Mr. Mariwala is also the Founder President of the Association of Herbal and Nutraceutical Manufacturers of India (AHNMI) and a member of the Nutraceutical Task Force of the Principal Scientific Advisor (PSA) – Government of India. His past leadership roles include Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for Kerala, President of the Indian Pepper and Spice Trading Association, and the All India Spices Exporters Forum, among others.

In his inaugural address as the President of IMC, Mr. Sanjaya Mariwala said, “India is on a path to become the 3rd largest economy globally with a focus on ‘Viksit Bharat’ agenda. As the nation celebrated the 10th International Yoga Day, Nagpur-based startup, Habuild, celebrated and created a new World Record on Friday, 21st June, 2024.The habit-building wellness platform that focuses on consistency, set a World Record by making 5,99,162 people perform yoga asanas with them. To generate excitement and encourage maximum number of people to be a part of this eventful celebration, the brand conducted a 21-Day Free Yoga Challenge ahead of the International Yoga Day to add to the spirit of the day.

The aim of the habit building and holistic wellness brand, Habuild, is to inspire people from different walks of life to come together in maximum numbers and make yoga a habit. The free yoga option is to encourage people to be motivated to work out and decide to go in for a subscription only once they are sure about being regular. Not just this, the brand intends to plant 25,000 trees owing to the number of referrals received. The team promised to plant 1 tree for every 5 referrals received prior to the day of creating the Yoga Day World Record.

Here we are to embark the start our journey from the river Beas, a sight to behold.
We all know about the beas river which flows through parts of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh and has constituted to Punjab’s name for having 5 rivers. But do you know where this river comes from ? Ok so let me tell you.
The river’s main source is in the lush green grasslands of Manali . Hidden in these meadows there’s the emerald Lake out of which the Beas river emerges, Beas Kund.

Best time to visit?

Temperature in Summer: Day time: Between 15 °C and 20 °C | Night time: Will drop to temperatures between 1 °C and 5 °C.
Mostly mid June to mid September is the best time to visit here.

But “kuch paane ke liye hamesha kuch khona padta hai”.
You would have to Trek to witness the sight but believe me it’s hard but this hardwork is worth it.

Conquering these treks is very hard and needs a power packed planning especially the things to carry.

Dr. Amudha Subramanian, a dental graduate, currently serves as a Human Resources professional in Star health insurance company at Chennai and an aspiring executive management professional at IIM Raipur. She embraced management programme at IIM as thirst for knowledge knows no bounds, igniting a passion for lifelong learning that fuels her journey forward.
 

Her journey is not just a personal odyssey but a testament to the indomitable spirit of womanhood, fueled by the unwavering support of her lovely husband, son, mother (a cancer survivor whose resilience serves as a guiding light in her path), sister, blessings from her late father, her father in law and mother in law and the workplace mentor Mr. Surendhar VP-HR, and IIM Raipur faculty members – IIM Raipur Director. Prof. Ram Kumar Kakani and Chairperson (eMBA) – Prof. Dhananjay Bapat and Gym Proprietor & Head Coach Mr. Gokul Srinivasan, personal trainer Mr. Bharath Radhakrishnan.

Balancing academia, caregiving, and her career, she excelled in dance, oratory, and swimming while maintaining her fitness routine.

With her victory, she aims to underscore that age should never be a barrier. Through steadfast perseverance and unwavering determination, she has achieved significant milestones as a working mother, devoted daughter, and graduate of IIM.
