COVID-19: Rajasthan government extends lockdown from May 24 to June 7. Here are the new guidelines…

COVID-19: Rajasthan government on Sunday has extended the lockdown by 15 days which shall continue from May 24 to June 7. The strict curbs under the guideline include:

Increase in penalty for those roaming /working without masks in public places from Rs 500 to Rs 1000.

 Marriage ceremonies have been strictly prohibited till June 30, however, marriages in court and in houses are permitted with a guest limit of 11 people.

Markets, except shops of essential commodities including milk, grocery, vegetables and fruits, shall remain closed from May 28 (Friday) from 12 noon to June 1 (Tuesday) till 5 pm and from Friday June 4 from 12 noon to June 7 till 5 pm.

This shall be a three-level lockdown, At the first level, people from outside should be restricted to enter inside the house to protect children and old age people from infection, said officials.

At the second level, people in villages and towns should avoid gathering of 5 people at one place. 

At the third level, city to city, village to village and city to village transport is not permitted under the guidelines. People will have to bring in a change in their social behaviour. 

All religious places shall remain closed.

All marriage gardens will remain closed.

On Saturday, a council of ministers attended a COVID review meeting under which it was discussed that there was not much difference between second and third waves in European nations and hence a lockdown extension should considered to break the chain of Corona virus.

As infection rate continues to remain about 15 per cent and death rate too remaining high, there was rigorous discussion held on extending lockdown.
