Fresh from its theatrical release on June 12, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata was screened at a special event in Jaipur on Friday, attended by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, BJP MP Manju Sharma, actress and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut, and members of the film’s team. The event celebrated the film’s core themes of duty, courage and selfless service.
Presented by Dr. Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is produced by PEN Studios, Manikarnika Films and Paramhans Creations in association with Eunoia Films LLP and Floating Rocks Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The film is distributed by Pen Marudhar.
Directed by Manoj Tapadia, the thriller is inspired by the untold stories of doctors, nurses and hospital staff who risked their lives to protect patients during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Set largely inside Mumbai’s Cama Hospital, the film shifts the focus from armed responders to healthcare workers who displayed extraordinary courage amid the chaos.
Kangana Ranaut, who also serves as one of the film’s producers, plays Nurse Geeta, an ordinary healthcare worker whose dedication becomes extraordinary during a moment of national crisis. Speaking at earlier promotional events, Ranaut described the film as a tribute to countless individuals whose contributions often go unnoticed despite helping shape the nation’s future.
The Jaipur screening formed part of the film’s nationwide outreach campaign, which has included special screenings in Bhubaneswar, Raipur and Delhi. At these events, the makers have honoured frontline workers and other unsung heroes whose service frequently goes unrecognised.
According to the film’s team, the Jaipur event also recognised members of the healthcare community, reflecting the spirit of the story. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma praised the film’s emphasis on service, sacrifice and national duty, while audience members responded warmly to its portrayal of courage in the face of adversity.
With its blend of patriotism, suspense and human resilience, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata seeks to honour the healthcare workers who stood firm during one of India’s most traumatic moments, reminding audiences that heroism is often found far from the spotlight.
