Nasar Thootha: Meet the man who runs ‘Wedding Dress Bank’

Nasar Thootha is a 44 year old native of Perinthalmanna in Malappuram district of Kerala who has been helping the brides from underprivileged families to wear the best of wedding dresses. Nasar Thootha’s bank has so far helped more than 260 underprivileged brides with free outfits.

This unique model of charity is started in the year 2020 by him. He started the operations from his home itself with a set of 100 wedding outfits.

He has once worked in a supermarket in Saudi Arabia and after returning home in the year 2013, he started driving a Taxi and also worked with some charity house. In the year 2020, Nasar started a Dress Bank project for many poor families who were struggling to buy costly bridal dresses and bear other wedding expenses. And just in a year, this project gained so much popularity as it was new, thrilling and somewhat unique.
