Mehrunnisa Shaukat Ali is a first female bouncer in India who has given security to many big personalities including Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranveer Kapoor, Ranbir Singh, Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Vidya Balan.
Last year, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal honored her on Women’s Day.
She became the first female bouncer in India almost two decades ago and is now running her own company named Mehrunisha Mardani Bouncer & Dolphin Security Service Pvt Ltd.

She is a resident of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh who grew up in a large Muslim family in Saharanpur. Mehrunnisa had dreamed of joining the army or becoming a police officer, but her conservative father was opposed to educating her or letting her work outside. Mehrunnisa, who had always aspired to become a police officer, enrolled as an NCC cadet, learned karate and worked on her fitness in hopes of getting a job in the police. She heard about the opening of women bouncers in Delhi and applied for it.
It was difficult for Mehrunnisa to convince her family about her work as she also thought that being a bouncer was not something that girls should do.
Presently, Mehrunnisa works in a famous cafe ‘Social’ in Hauz Khas village of Delhi and also provides security for personal events and celebrities including Bollywood stars. Along with protecting women, she also specializes in settling disputes there.
It is also an honor to be a bouncer for Mehrunnisa. She says she takes pride in what she does and encourages other women to join the field as well. She is now running her own company named ‘Mardani Bouncer’ and ‘Dolphin Security Service Private Limited’ with two partners. In recent times, more than 2,500 girls and boys have been employed through their security service.
