India is known as the land of natural wonders. Other than astonishing forts and temples, India is also home to many elegant ornamental lakes. These water bodies undoubtedly enhance the beauty of any city. Let’s explore lake cities in India with their unique identity and feel

  1. Udaipur

Because of sophisticated glassy lakes, this city is known as ‘City of Lakes’. The picturesque and elegant city Udaipur nestles between ornamental lakes and the ancient Aravalli Hills. This city is one of the largest cities of Rajasthan but it still holds charming small town vibes.
The dreamy destination is built along the series of hills, narrow streets with twist and turns which pave the path to rock wall forts, sparkling fountains and pavilions.
In the center of city lies the serene lake Pichola which gives a visual treat to eyes.

  1. Bhopal

is capital of India’s heartland MP. It is Famous as ‘city of lakes’ because of artificial and natural lakes. It is one of the greenest, quite and scenic city of India.
The largest man-made lake is named as Badi jheel which is definitely a pride of Bhopal. With lush green surroundings, this lake serves boating facility and is a best place to watch sunset.

Surrounded by mountains,  this city gives idyllic glimpse of nature. And charming Dal Lake enhances the beauty of Srinagar. This is one of the dramatic lakes in the country as it changes its looks according to season. The beautiful Dal Lake is the most important attraction here.

Maharashtra is not only limited to Mumbai, it has some centre of attraction and one of them is lake in Powai. The magnificent lake in Powai is just 30 km away from Mumbai. Built in 1799 AD, this lake is a wonderful place to relax and calm the mind. Everything around the lake screams beauty only.
