Lovlina Borgohain has made history by assuring India of getting a second medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
She has defeated former world champion Chen Nien-Chin of Chinese Taipei during the quarter-final of the Women’s Welterweight boxing at the Kokukigan Arena on Friday.
This 23-year-old boxer from Assam played with class and fearlessness. She did outpunch her senior opponent from Taiwan by scoring 4-1 in the quarter-final match.
