Captain Shubman Gill led from the front with a historic performance, earning the Player of the Match award for his stunning contributions with the bat. Gill scored a monumental 269 in the first innings and followed it up with a blistering 161 in the second, becoming the first player in Test history to record scores of 250 and 150 in the same match.
Speaking after the match, Gill lauded the team’s collective effort, highlighting the character they showed in bouncing back after the defeat in the first Test.
