CWC 2023: India in the final of ODI World Cup for the fourth time

India has made it to the final of the World Cup by defeating New Zealand by 70 runs in the semi-final played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The Indian team has reached the final for the fourth time. Earlier the team had reached this tournament final in 1983, 2003 and 2011.

India won the toss and batted first and scored 397 runs for 4 wickets in 50 overs. Virat Kohli scored the 50th ODI century of his career and played an inning of 117 runs. Shreyas Iyer scored 105 runs. In reply, New Zealand was all out for 327 runs in 48.5 overs. Daryl Mitchell scored 134 runs. Mohammed Shami took 7 wickets. He was the man of the match for his excellent bowling.
