Asthma is a respiratory condition involving narrowing of air tubes of the lungs resulting in difficulty in breathing and is often accompanied by increased secretion.
According to the recent statistics, 339 million people in the world are affected by Asthma(2023) and this number is increasing by 50% every decade.

The extrinsic type of asthma is episodic, seen more in children, does not appear always and has less probability of emergency cases. It is caused basically due to external factors such as dust or pollens.
Asthma attack is an emergency condition and if not treated properly, the patient can probably die. Nearly 4.61 lakh people all over the world die of asthma each year.

Trigger factors of asthma:

Treatment of asthma

There there is no definite treatment or one treatment for asthma. It depends upon patient to patient. Apart from lifestyle changes and protecting from trigger factors, the treatment involves the medicines that help in dilatation or widening of air tubes which were previously narrow and were causing difficulty in breathing. Bronchodilators are type of drugs that prove to be efficient in providing relief to the patient. Glucocorticoids in the inhaler form are also considered as a very potent form of treatment.

Prevention of asthma:

There are three prevention steps for asthma. The first one being: avoid the triggers such as certain chemicals, smells and exposure to stimulus; the second one includes keeping away from allergens and taking the allergy shots time to time to protect the triggers; and lastly the third step includes taking preventive medicines prescribed by your doctor.

Conclusion:

Asthma is a common respiratory disease affecting a huge population in the world, caused by a few trigger factors, it can also be genetic and is not completely recoverable but patient’s life can be improved through lifestyle changes and medicines. Since deaths from asthma are common, hence it is necessary to create awareness about it.

Dimple Arora reports on the innovative cars available in India

Hybrid cars are becoming increasingly popular as a solution to the ever-growing concern of climate change and increasing fuel prices. They offer a balance between fuel efficiency and performance, while also being more environmentally friendly than traditional petrol or diesel cars. In this article, we will discuss hybrid cars in detail, their benefits, and some of the top models available in the market.

India, being the world’s fourth-largest automotive market, has seen a growing demand for hybrid cars in recent years. With the increasing concern about the environment and rising fuel prices, hybrid cars offer a great alternative for car buyers.

What is a hybrid car?

A hybrid car is a vehicle that combines the power of a traditional petrol or diesel engine with an electric motor. These cars are equipped with a battery pack that stores energy generated through regenerative braking or from the engine, which powers the electric motor. This combination of an electric motor and an internal combustion engine allows the car to run on either power source or both.

Benefits of Hybrid Cars:

1. Fuel Efficiency: Hybrid cars are known for their fuel efficiency. They consume less fuel than traditional cars because the electric motor provides additional power, reducing the load on the petrol or diesel engine. This results in lower fuel costs and fewer emissions, making hybrid cars more eco-friendly.

2. Cost-Effective: Hybrid cars can be expensive upfront, but in the long run, they can save you a lot of money. With lower fuel costs, hybrid cars can help reduce overall car ownership expenses.

Group Captain Nanda oversaw risky rescue operations in Sudan. Carried out comparable operations in Kabul.

0

The Super Hercules, flown by IAF officers, landed at the Wadi Sayyidna airport, roughly 40 kilometers north of Khartoum in Sudan, to pick up the trapped passengers without any assistance from the ground and under threats of assaults on the aircraft.

Nanda also participated in the rescue efforts in Kabul, when he and his group saved Indian officials and civilians from the airport as the Taliban seized control of that nation.

121 Indians were saved during the risky rescue operation and transferred to Jeddah to be flown back to India as part of Operation Kaveri.

As a result of battles between the army and paramilitary forces, there has been carnage in Sudan. There have been claims of violence despite the 72-hour ceasefire.

Soldiers loyal to Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the commander of the Sudanese army, and Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, the head of the paramilitary Rapid Support Soldiers, have started fighting.

India has stationed its military aircraft and warships in the conflict-torn nation as part of its commitment to making sure that no Indian person is left behind in Sudan.

The IAF has previously conducted similar “daunting” nighttime operations. An IAF Super Hercules was entrusted with a Special Operation into the war-torn nation of Afghanistan on August 2, 2021 as part of “Operation Devi Shakti.”

The operation to fly into Kabul’s epicenter of battle to install a “Specialized Government Team” for assisting the quick evacuation of Indian diaspora under imminent threat to their life was headed by Group Captain Ravi Nanda, the Commanding Officer of a C-130J Transport Squadron. The absence of intelligence at the target airport created a high degree of unpredictability and hazard.

Extremely uncontrolled airspace, heavy traffic of unidentified aerial platforms, very few visual cues in the middle of forbidding mountainous terrain, and, above all, a hostile ground situation involving small arms, rocket-propelled grenades, and shoulder-launched missiles were the greatest dangers that this high-stakes midnight mission had to deal with.
