He achieved the remarkable feat of completing his 12th standard at the tender age of 14, followed by earning his B.Sc. degree at 17, culminating in an M.Sc. adorned with a coveted gold medal in organic chemistry at the youthful age of 19. His accolades continued to mount as he scaled the pinnacle of success, securing the 41st rank in the All India Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) at the mere age of 20, paving his path to pursue an M.Tech degree at the prestigious IIT Kanpur in 2010. From 2011 to 2018, he devoted his talents to Kota Bansal Classes, an educational institution, steadily ascending to the coveted position of the Head of the Department. In 2016, he achieved another remarkable milestone, securing the 525th rank in the RAS examination, a milestone that he has now surpassed with his remarkable 235th rank.

Chand Baori, one of the oldest and most popular attraction of Rajasthan

Chand Baori is a stepwell situated in the village of Abhaneri, Rajasthan. Rajasthan being a dry state, construction of stepwell is common here to preserve water. It is about 64 feet deep and is India’s largest and deepest stepwells with 13 floors. Many tourists come here to see chand baori. In fact, it is that spot which attracts foreign tourists more than domestic tourists.

History 

Chand Baori is said to be built by Chanda King of Nikumbh Dynasty in the 8th-9th century. According to Morna Livingston in Steps to Water: The Ancient Stepwells of India, Chand Baori is one of the few stepwells that has “two classical periods of water building in a single setting”.

Near the Boari there is a beautifully sculptured, Harshat Mata Temple, which was built between 7th-8th century. The temple was destroyed by Ghazni. Today, there are some sculptures and carvings which are said to be in the temple or various rooms. 

These stepwells, including Chand Baori, play a significant role in religious and ceremonial activities.

Architecture

Chand Baori is a deep four-sided well with a large temple located in the back side. On three sides, it has 3500 steps and a massive tank at the bottom. This baori has been constructed in an upside-down pyramid-style. 

It has the sculptures of lord Ganesha and has an image of Mahishasuramardini. The Ganesha is crowned with chaitya having a female dancer. There are many other dancing figures and attendants carved around this structure. On the upper section, carvings depicting Uma-Maheshwara and Simhavahini Durga can be seen.

Cracking the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) examination is no small feat. It’s a challenging endeavor that young aspirants prepare for tirelessly, often facing numerous setbacks. However, among these determined individuals, there are exceptional stories of resilience and triumph, and Ummul Kher’s remarkable journey is one such inspiring tale.

Hailing from Rajasthan, Ummul Kher began her life’s journey in Delhi’s Trilokpuri slum area. The UPSC, known as one of the toughest exams in India, was her ultimate goal, but her path was fraught with adversity.

Ummul’s story is a testament to her unwavering determination and grit. Despite the challenging circumstances of her upbringing, she exhibited a relentless pursuit of knowledge. In addition to her studies, she dedicated her time to tutoring several students, displaying both her commitment to education and her desire to uplift others from her community.

Adding to her already formidable challenges, Ummul Kher battled a debilitating bone disorder diagnosed as Fragile Bone Disorder. Multiple surgeries were necessary due to the condition, but her spirit remained unbroken.

Her educational journey was significantly shaped by the support of an NGO, which enabled her to continue her studies up to Class 10. However, her family’s wishes were in contrast to her aspirations. They were not keen on her pursuing further education. Undeterred, Ummul made a bold decision—she left home and sought refuge in a slum while working as a tutor to fund her education.

The challenges seemed insurmountable, but Ummul Kher’s determination and resilience were unwavering. In Class 12, she not only passed her exams but did so with flying colors, achieving an impressive 91 percent. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to Gargi College, where she pursued her undergraduate degree.

Ummul’s academic journey continued to soar as she completed her master’s degree in International Relations at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Her dedication and hard work paid off when she successfully passed the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) exam, earning her a scholarship of Rs 25,000 per month.

In a momentous ceremony, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan unveiled a colossal 108-foot statue of the 8th-century Hindu philosopher and saint, Adi Shankaracharya. During the inauguration, Chouhan shared a video of himself offering prayers at the site. In his message, he expressed the spiritual significance of the occasion, saying, “There is auspiciousness and auspiciousness only in the feet of Acharya Shankar, animated with spiritual energy. The sun of welfare for the entire world lies in the auspicious thoughts of Advaita.”

Adi Shankaracharya’s teachings, centered around Advaita Vedanta, emphasized the existence of only one Brahma in every living being.
