We the students of Army Public School visited the Raj Bhavan, Jaipur and it’s constitutional park . The trip was planned by the Saksham Sanchar Foundation which was a part of their media master class course. Our teacher incharge from our school was Dr. Komalpreet Kaur who looked after us really well and managed everything smoothly. We started our expedition from our School and had really fun travelling there. As we reached there, we were welcomed by the management and the beautiful voice of Peacocks. The peacock in the park left a lasting impression on us and truly exceeded our expectations.

Next we went to the conference hall and watched a movie on how the idea to create a constitutional park came to Mr. Kalraj Mishra’s innovative brain. It showcased the very elements of making of constitutional park. Then we proceeded to the Constitutional Park , the only one that exists in the world. This park was inaugurated by are Honourable President Draupadi Murmu. It highlighted the architectural brilliance of Mr. Anoop Bartaria the designer of this park

The park was majestic from the beginning to the end, every single thing was breathtaking. The park started with the cover of the Indian constitution made from Kadappa stone in which designs are made from liquid brass which gives it really close look to the original copy of the Constitution. As we move forward we can see the front page of the constitution the Preamble. This was the reminder of the foundational principles and goals upon which the constitution and the associated governance are based.
Not only this but many more things like, the statue of the women who contributed to this, the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar handing over the draft of the constitution to Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the statue of seating of the constituent assembly , statue of Nataraja and numerous others historic and inspirational ones .

At last this visit to Raj Bhavan Jaipur and its unique Constitutional Park was never going to be forgotten by all of us, the students of APS Jaipur.
Among its treasures are statues citing pivotal figures in the constitutional history of India: from Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar presenting the draft to Dr. Rajendra Prasad, to scenes depicting the Constituent Assembly. Each statue reflects and reminds one of the national history in the developing journey towards independence and democratic governance. It was the unforgettable moment in all our lives—the student community—by not only enlightening us with the historical education on this great man but also making all of ourselves aware of the inspirational juncture of values and principles that formed our nation.

An Emotional Tribute

The Ministry of Defence spokesperson shared an emotional video on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, July 6. In the video, Smriti spoke about the last conversation she had with her husband and the moment she received the devastating news of his martyrdom. She also reminisced about their journey together, describing how they met and fell in love.

“He was very much capable. He would tell me, ‘I would die with a brass on my chest. I would not die an ordinary death like no one would know’,” Smriti recalled. Captain Anshuman Singh’s story is indeed extraordinary. His bravery and selflessness were evident in his actions, which ultimately led to his untimely demise.

A Story of Love and Sacrifice

Smriti’s voice quivered as she narrated their love story, starting from their first meeting on the first day of college. “I don’t want to be dramatic but it was love at first sight,” she said. Their relationship endured the test of time and distance, lasting eight long years before they finally decided to get married.

“Unfortunately, within two months of marriage, he got posted to Siachen. On July 18, we had a long conversation about how our life will be in the next 50 years. We are going to build a house, we are going to have kids, whatnot. On the 19th morning (last year), I got up, and I got a call that he is no more,” Smriti recounted, her voice breaking with emotion.

Coming to Terms with Loss

The acceptance of the Kirti Chakra brought a bittersweet realization for Smriti. “For the first seven to eight hours, we could not accept that anything of that sort has happened. Till date, I am not coping. Just trying to figure out, thinking maybe it is not true. But now that I have the Kirti Chakra in my hand, I realize it is true. But it’s okay, he is a hero. We can manage a little of our lives because he has managed a lot. He gave up his life and family so that the other three families could be saved,” she said.

A Nation’s Tribute

In a post on X, Rashtrapati Bhavan acknowledged the bravery and sacrifice of Captain Anshuman Singh. “President Droupadi Murmu conferred Kirti Chakra upon Captain Anshuman Singh, The Army Medical Corps, 26th Battalion The Punjab Regiment, posthumously. Disregarding his own safety, he exhibited exceptional bravery and resolve to rescue many people in a major fire incident,” read the post. Along with the message, a photograph of Smriti accepting the Kirti Chakra was shared, capturing the solemnity and pride of the moment.

President Murmu conferred 10 Kirti Chakras, including seven posthumously, to personnel of the Army and paramilitary forces for displaying indomitable courage and extraordinary valor in the line of duty. The ceremony was a tribute to the selfless heroes who put their lives on the line for the safety and security of others, with Captain Anshuman Singh being one of the most poignant examples of such bravery.

Shekhawat confirmed that her jewellery house has indeed provided pieces for the event. However, she refrained from disclosing the number and designs of the jewellery without the Ambani family’s approval. She also mentioned that she has a long-standing relationship with Radhika Merchant’s family and has been designing jewellery for them for quite some time.

It’s noteworthy that prior to the wedding ceremony, the Padmapriya Collection from the ‘House of Sunita Shekhawat’ played a significant role and was the center of attraction during the Lagna Lakvaanu ceremony. Held in February, this pre-wedding event saw Nita and Mukesh Ambani adorned in exquisite jewellery designed by Shekhawat’s house.
