Nahargarh Biological Park Safari Inaugurated in Jaipur. This will mark Jaipur’s fifth wildlife safari. Prior to this, the city has successfully operated two leopard safaris, one lion safari, and one elephant safari. On a bright Monday morning in Jaipur, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma officially inaugurated the Nahargarh Biological Park Safari, a much-anticipated addition to Rajasthan’s wildlife tourism. State ministers Jhabar Singh Kharra and Sanjay Sharma accompanied him at the grand event. This tiger safari promises to offer wildlife enthusiasts an exciting chance to spot tigers in their natural habitat, further enhancing Jaipur’s appeal as a wildlife tourism destination.

A Wildlife Adventure Awaits

The Nahargarh Biological Park is situated on the outskirts of Jaipur, near Amer, along the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. The tiger safari, spread over 32 hectares, aims to provide an immersive experience for visitors by introducing them to the majesty of the Bengal tigers. To start, three tigers will be released into the safari zone: Bhakti, a tigress brought from Pune, along with Chameli and Gulab, both sourced from Nagpur.

Tourists will be able to enjoy close encounters with the tigers from the safety of specially designed vehicles. The park has introduced four safari vehicles, each equipped with safety cages, offering a secure yet thrilling experience for up to 20 passengers at a time. The safari, which will last about an hour, follows an 8-shaped track, maximizing opportunities for visitors to view the animals.

Facilities and Infrastructure

The Nahargarh Biological Park spans an impressive 720 hectares, with the tiger safari covering 32 hectares. The park, already famous for its lion safari, now adds another major attraction to its offerings. In total, the area boasts 10 shelters for tigers, a combination of three temporary and two permanent water bodies, and secured fencing to ensure the safety of both visitors and animals. Entry to the safari is reasonably priced at ₹200 per person, making it accessible to a broad range of visitors.

“The new tiger safari will elevate Jaipur’s reputation as a wildlife destination,” stated a park official. “We expect a surge in tourists with the addition of this new attraction.”

In a significant boost to Rajasthan’s tourism sector, Ajmer has launched India’s first double-decker electric cruise on the historic Ana Sagar Lake. Visitors can now enjoy a scenic boat ride on this eco-friendly cruise, with tickets priced affordably at INR 350 for adults and INR 250 for children. The cruise was inaugurated by Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, along with key dignitaries like Minister Suresh Rawat and Mayor Brij Lata Hada, marking a new chapter in Ajmer’s tourism landscape.

A New Attraction for Tourists

The introduction of the double-decker E-cruise adds a modern twist to Ana Sagar Lake’s long-standing allure. With a capacity to seat 150 people across two levels, the cruise offers a unique experience for both domestic and international tourists. The vessel is 22 meters long and 8 meters wide, taking approximately 45 minutes to complete a full round of the lake, providing picturesque views of the lake and its surroundings.

Features of the Double-Decker Cruise

The cruise is designed with two floors, each catering to different needs. The air-conditioned lower deck features a dance floor, separate restrooms for men and women, and a kitchen for preparing food and refreshments. The rooftop deck is an open-air space, perfect for enjoying the breeze and the stunning views, with a smaller kitchen for snacks.

The design of the cruise incorporates Rajasthani cultural themes, including traditional motifs like ‘Bani-Thani’ and ‘Kesariya Balam,’ adding a touch of local heritage.
