UNGA 2021: BTS will join world leaders at the UN on September 20
The 76th session of UN general assembly began on 14th September this year. In 2020 due covid-19 pandemic, the UNGA was held virtually but this year, there will a hybrid event and the major issues like Racism, intolerance, inequality, climate change, poverty, hunger, armed conflict, and other ills will be addressed.

This year, the superstars BTS are appointed as ‘ Special Envoy for future generations and culture’ by the President of South Korea and are invited in UNGA. The global starts BTS has been with UN since 2017, as an partner of UN’s children fund and with their campaign ‘Love Myself’ to end bullying, and promote self-esteem. UN stated BTS as their friends who will visit them again to support the global goals and help inspire ambitious actions to create a better future for all.
UN officially stated that BTS will be present there in the all-day event on Monday , 20th september, 2021 regarding ‘sustainable development goals’. And the event will also feature a live performance by BTS . UN also stated how back in 2018 during BTS’s speech there was a huge internet traffic and with their video message released at last year’s virtual GA – both of which left the system struggling to cope. This shows how much impact BTS currently has on this world which they are using positively for the morality and benefit of today’s generation.
