One of the most ambitious, visual enhancers, veteran cinematographer Peter Pereira, dies at the age of 93. Many actors, like Abhishek Bachchan, extend condolences via Twitter. Peter was blind for 20 years and died at 93. He had a remarkable list of films, with the best of them being Mr. India, Ajooba, Sheshnaag, Aa gale lag jaa, and many more.
Peter Pereira had worked on many fantasy films, but one of his favorites was Mr. India. However, he was long forgotten for his work. Recently, in research, it was found that he used to live alone in his house in Mumbai.
In Hemant Chaturvedi’s documentary peter was last seen. The documentary was about people who worked in the film industry for a long time, from the 1950s to the 2000s. He was there in the documentary with other profound workers of Bollywood, such as Pravin Bhatt, Dilip Dutta, Nadeem Khan, Baba Azmi, AK Bir, SM Anwar, Barun Mukherjee, Ishwar Bidri, Govind Nihalani, Jehangir Chowdhury, Kamalakar Rao, Sunil Sharma, and RM Rao.
