India Dance Festival at Korzo theater in The Hague inaugurated today in the presence of Mayor Jan van Zanen, Her excellency Ambassador @Reenat Sandhu, Leo Spreksel, Gemma Jelier & Gauri Sharma.
During the India Dance Festival, Korzo celebrates the rich Indian dance and culture.
From Bharatanatyam to contemporary Indian and modern dance; Korzo presents leading and starting talents from home and abroad. Inspiring performances by major international artists are interspersed with refreshing, contemporary productions.
The festival showcase with the new work by Aakash Odedra Company (UK) in collaboration with Aditi Mangaldas (IN).
The international residency also filled by Kuchipudi dancer Bhavana Reddy and new pieces from the Netherlands by Shailesh Bahoran and Poernima Gobardhan are on the program. Kalpana Raghuraman brings Samarpan from 2013 in a brand new version and the festival closes with a weekend full of emerging talent in various Indian dance styles.
