Paniya is made of Maize dough which looks more like a pizza.
Similarly, Haldi vegetable is made using different elements like haldi (turmeric solid form), tomato, peas, cardamom and other spices.
The dish is good for health as it comes with strong immunity power.
There are many different stories famous behind this dish being popularised in desert areas.
During Britishers rule, one British officer wanted to have food but nothing was available nearby.
Hence a locality served him Paniya and Haldi ki sabzi.
The Britisher ate the vegetable but left Paniya thinking that it is a plate kind thing.
