Cyclone Biparjoy intensified on Sunday and is now moving towards the Saurashtra coast of Gujarat. The Gujarat government has closed the beaches and has started sending necessary information to the people living along the coasts. The Disaster Management Division, National Emergency Response Center under the Union Home Ministry has also issued an advisory to the Gujarat government. In which it has been asked to keep a strict vigil, regularly monitor the situation in the coastal areas and take appropriate precautionary measures.
