Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the final union budget

The budget session will take place on Tuesday. President Murmu will address both houses in the joint sitting.

The financial bill will be presented in the joint session, where the government will prioritize the motion of thanks to the president’s address. However, the opposition is ready to take a stand on the Adani-Hindenburg dispute, a widespread caste-based economic census, and the women’s reservation bill.

Therefore, the complete final Union budget of the government before the 2024 Lok Sabha election will be addressed by the finance minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, on February 1st.

On Tuesday, after the address made by the president, the economic survey will be tabled. The administration will present 36 bills in the budget session. Four bills will be related to the budgetary exercise. The budget will be presented on Tuesday and will last until April, with 27 sittings. However, there will be a year-long break to revise the budget.

Therefore, the session’s first segment will end by February 14. Later, for the second half of the budget session, Parliament will return on March 12.
