The Indian Steel Association (ISA) represents all major steel companies in India, both public and private. Its full members are big integrated steel producers like AM/NS, JSW, Tata Steel, SAIL, JSP, and RINL, who produce over 2 million tons per year. Additionally, it has seven affiliate members including Monnet Ispat and Energy Ltd, INSDAG, KISMA, Jindal Stainless Limited, Arjas Steel Ltd, and Electro Steel Steels Limited.

Naveen Jindal, who is the chairman of Jindal Steel and Power, has become the new president of the Indian Steel Association (ISA), which is the top group for steel producers. The association announced that Naveen Jindal was chosen unanimously by the top committee of the ISA. He takes over from Dilip Oommen, the CEO of ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India.

Jindal mentioned that for India to achieve its development goals, it’s important for the steel industry, along with its related manufacturing processes, to grow together. He also emphasized the challenge of reducing carbon emissions, which is crucial for protecting the environment.

Jindal also said that the steel industry has taken responsibility and is dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint to meet the targets set by the Prime Minister of India, aligning with global commitments.
