Sunil Bharti Mittal first Indian to get Honorary Knighthood from King Charles lll

Sunil Bharti Mittal, the founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises, has received a special recognition called Honorary Knighthood from King Charles III. He is the first person from India to be honored this way. This recognition, officially known as the Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE), was given to Mittal for his efforts in improving business relations between India and the United Kingdom.

Sunil Bharti Mittal expressed his gratitude, saying he is deeply honored by this recognition from King Charles. He highlighted the long-standing historical ties between the UK and India and emphasized the growing cooperation and collaboration between the two nations. Mittal remains committed to strengthening economic and trade relationships between the UK and India.

Mittal also thanked the UK government for its support and attention to the needs of businesses, making the country an appealing place for investments. The Honorary Knighthood, or KBE, is one of the highest honors given by the British Sovereign to civilians and is awarded to foreign nationals in recognition of their exceptional contributions.
