The foundation, established under the Indian Trust Act of 1882, aims to empower rural youth by providing them with media education and training. This initiative helps these students bring stories from diverse segments such as art, culture, trade, farming, traditions, heritage, and Ayurveda to the forefront, thus boosting Brand Bharat.

The Saksham Sanchar Foundation is dedicated to making rural India self-reliant by training youths in journalism. It aims to reposition the present Indian media system by training rural youth to script and portray the New India Story.
