Currently serving as a Personal Security Officer (PSO) at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Poonam has been at the forefront of several significant assignments, including leading the all-women CRPF contingent at the 74th Republic Day Parade.

Hailing from Madhya Pradesh, Poonam Gupta’s academic credentials are as impressive as her service record. She holds a Mathematics degree, followed by a post-graduation in English Literature and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). Her journey into the CRPF began when she cleared the 2018 UPSC CAPF examination, securing an All India Rank (AIR) of 81.
Currently serving as an Assistant Commandant in the CRPF, Poonam has worked in Naxal-affected regions of Bihar, gaining experience in one of the most challenging assignments for security personnel. Her journey reflects courage, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to national service.
