Fantastic history behind Agra Ka petha
Around 350 year old sweet dish came from the kitchen of Mughal Empire, when the Mughal soldiers stayed in Agra for a long period of time. They wanted to make affordable sweet dish to relish after meal. So they decided to make petha.
Some people says that when Taj Mahal was under construction, the labour got upset by having the same food daily hence the chef prepared this sweet dish. And Noor Jahan also liked this sweet dish and then this petha became the Royal Sweet Dish.
