Afeem ki sabzli (Opium vegetable) is one of the favourite dishes of Rajasthanis.
Due to its countless benefits, it is loved and liked by all. In fact, people from UP also cook this vegetable.
Initially, its large leaves are dried under sunlight. Thereafter, vegetable is made with these dry leaves whole through the year.
The vegetable is cooked the same way as other green leafy vegetables like Spinach ‘Palak’ and fenugreek ‘Methi’ are cooked.

The roots of this plant are put to grind and drunk in case of diarrhoea.
