Relaunched on July 17, 2025, this cherished attraction promises a delightful ride through the park’s lush landscapes, offering visitors a unique way to experience its natural beauty.

A New Chapter for ‘Van Rani’

The relaunch of the ‘Van Rani’ toy train was announced by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Mumbai North. The train, a beloved feature of SGNP, had been out of service since 2021 due to damage caused by Cyclone Tauktae. After three years of restoration, the revamped train now boasts 80 seats, modern technology, and a 2.3-kilometer newly constructed track, ensuring a smoother and more immersive experience for visitors.
