The grand spectacle of Mahakumbh concluded on Wednesday with the setting sun, marking the end of the 45-day spiritual gathering. On the final day, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Shivratri, an astounding 1.53 crore devotees took a holy dip in the sacred waters of Sangam by 8 PM.

In the preceding 44 days, a staggering 65 crore people had already participated in the ritual, bringing the total count to over 66 crore—twice the population of the United States (approximately 34 crore).

This unprecedented number surpasses the population of 193 countries, with only India and China having a larger populace than the devotees who attended Mahakumbh. The Yogi government highlighted that the footfall was nearly half the global Hindu population, further emphasizing the event’s spiritual and cultural significance.

Adding to the fervor, Bollywood actress Preity Zinta also visited Mahakumbh and shared her experience through a video. Expressing her emotions, she wrote, “I cannot describe the experience I had.”
