Assamese native Nayanjyoti Saikia won MasterChef India! Brings home a reward of Rs. 25 lakh.

Assamese chef Nayanjyoti Saikia took home the MasterChef India championship trophy.

The MasterChef India winner, Nayanjyoti Saikia from Assam won millions of hearts on the programme with his simplicity and also because of a terrific contender he turned out to be! It all began with the Top 36, then on to the Top 16, then the Top 7, and finally the Top 3! Nayanjyoti won the MasterChef India championship trophy and a check for Rs 25 lakh after successfully completing a series of tasks, the last of which was presented by Sanjeev Kapoor.

Thus, Nayanjyoti Saikia, an Assamese contestant, won the MasterChef India championship and a cash reward of Rs 25 lakh after days of competition and the quest for the finest home cook. Santa Sarmah from Assam was selected the first runner-up, and Suvarna Bagul from Bombay was named the second. Each of them got a cheque for Rs. 5 lakh.

Nonetheless, together with the other judges, chefs Ranveer Brar, Vikas Khanna, and Garima Arora, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor participated in the MasterChef India grand finale where he assessed the three finalists in the “signature three-course meal challenge.” The winner of the ultimate test was Nayanjyoti. Mr. Jayen Mehta, the Managing Director of Amul, gave him and the two runners-up medals as well.

Nayanjyoti decided to serve Tinsukia on a platter for the “Ultimate Grand Finale” as part of the traditional three-course dinner challenge. Therefore, He began with curried crab and finished with duck cooked in the Assamese way. Whether he decided to commemorate his Assamese history by presenting meals from his own country or to highlight his skills as a baker by offering decadent desserts, Nayanjyoti won over the judges and the audience with all of his culinary masterpieces.
