The celebration of National Voter’s Day focusses on awareness activities being undertaken by the Indian government and NGOs and organizations. The purpose of the celebration is to encourage people to vote and make the procedure of registering to vote easier.

National Voter’s Day History
On January 25, 2022, the Election Commission of India was established in 1950.
In 2011, Pratibha Devi Patil, the then-President of India, initiated the celebration of National Voter’s Day and the initiative has raised awareness about the significance of voting, as well as the history and contributions of the Election commission of India.
