With Diwali just around the corner, preparations are in full swing to celebrate the festival differently in Ayodhya. This time, Diyas will light up the temporary temple where Lord Ram is sitting while around 5.51 lakh diyas will be lit all over Ayodhya.
Ram Temple to be lit up with 5.51 lakh diyas
In fact, it is for the first time after 492 years that a major Diwali celebration has been planned in the Ram Janmabhoomi temple complex.
Eventually, the temporary temple of Ramlala will be illuminated and shall sparkle with the light of numerous lamps coming in here.
Earlier, Diwali celebrations were made in the premises within a very limited scope and it were only the priests who were able to light the lamps.
Special pooja to be performed
A special pooja (worship) will be done in the temple on Diwali. A new record will be created at the Ram Paidi as for this, 5 lakh 51 thousand diyas will be lit all over Ayodhya.
