Uttar Pradesh: This festival has great significance in the state of UP. On this day, people worship Goddess Saraswati and fly kites by wearing yellow coloured clothes. People of Uttar Pradesh celebrate Basant Panchami with great zeal.
Uttarkashi – You can see the another level excitement in people for Basant Panchami. People of Uttarkashi use Palash wood, flowers and sweet desserts to celebrate Basant Panchami. It is celebrated with great joy and celebration and people also do kirtans in night.
Bihar– People of Bihar color their heads with Turmeric and wear yellow clothes. On this day, they make bundi and Shira and present it to Goddess Saraswati.
Punjab And Haryana -During the time of spring farm in Punjab and Harayana looks like yellow carpet as the mustard crop is harvested. On this special occasion, people of Punjab and Harayana climb the roof and fly kites and celebrate the festival.
