Actually, on October 20, 2025, Ayodhya’s Deepotsav festival lit 2,617,215 earthen oil lamps along the Saryu River ghats, securing a Guinness World Record and exceeding previous years’ displays.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presided over the event, where 2,128 priests conducted a synchronized aarti ritual, celebrating Lord Ram’s symbolic return. The spectacle drew thousands, evoking cultural revival and national pride, while online discussions highlighted a debunked AI-generated image, pollution concerns, and debates on festival spending.
